If you are not yet a member of Baby Gaga, simply click on the register button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. After this, fill out the forms regarding your expecting status (pregnant, not pregnant, TTC etc.) and the necessary data (email address, name, and password) required to register your account as a member of Baby Gaga.

*Note: Please take the time to confirm your email address by checking your inbox for a message from Baby Gaga. If you do not confirm your email address you will be unable to receive any of your Baby Gaga subscriptions or email alerts.

Once you have registered as a member of Baby Gaga, you will have a basic account which allows you to subscribe to our pregnancy calendar but your account is limited and completely invisible to other members of Baby Gaga.

In order to post on the forum, receive private messages, get comments on your profile, comment on other profiles, share photos and media with other members, and/or start building a Parentank, you will have to create a public profile.

To create a public profile, follow these basic steps:

1. Log in to Baby-Gaga
2. Click on the link “create public profile” or simply start entering data in our abridged “Public Profile Registration” form we provide for you.
3. Create a unique display name (e.g. it can be your real name or something else if you like).
4. Fill out your birth date information and certify that you are over 13 years of age.

At this point, you have created the beginning of a public profile—-so your profile is now visible to other members, but you are still unable to post on the forum or interact with other members until you introduce yourself by filling out the “About Me” section of your profile: simply click on “edit my profile” in your member menu and select the “about me tab” to fill it out.

The more information you fill out in your profile (e.g. where you live, how many kids you have, how old they are) the better your chances will be of finding people living near you and with children near your own children’s ages.

Your member profile and personal albums and media can be:

1. Completely public: visible to all members and visitors to the Baby Gaga website.
2. Semi-private: only visible to Baby Gaga members

The default privacy setting for your profile and albums is to be completely public. If you’d like change your setting, simply go into “my account” on your home profile menu and select the last tab “privacy” to edit your privacy settings.

The personal information we ask from you will only used to put you in contact with others in your area, with parents that have children that are in the same age group, with similar due dates and so on.

We do NOT share any of our members’ information with anyone anywhere EVER

Basically, the more information you fill out on your profile, the more likely you will be to find a member in a similar situation. For example, if you fill out your child’s birthday, other members with children in the same age group will be able to find you via the member search or through filtering topics by “my family.”

Follow these basic steps:

1. Log in to your account
2. Click on “edit my profile” on the left hand menu
3. Click on the second tab “my personal info”
4. enter your desired photo URL from a photo-handling site (such as Photobucket)
5. Check the box to certify that your photo complies with the Baby Gaga terms of use.
6. click on upload
7. If your avatar does not show up, double check your URL ensure sure you’ve pasted the entire URL without any errors.
8. If your avatar STILL does not show up, it may not be in the correct format (JPG, GIF, or PNG) or may be too big (over 500 kb).

Simply login to your profile and click on “my accounts” on your member menu; there you will see a link to edit your password, click on that and follow the directions which will send a new password to your specified email inbox.

From your profile, click on “edit my profile” and then click on “Edit” for my personal information or the “my personal info” tab. From there you will be able to edit and update your display name.

From your profile home page (or any private view of your profile) you simply click on the orange text that says how you’re feeling and either:

• Scroll down to find a word that best fits how you’re currently feeling OR
• Enter a new word or phrase that better describes your current mood.

Currently, this option is not available. If you’d like your presence on Baby Gaga to be less visible, you can go into the forums and delete all of your posts. The easiest way to stop interacting with Baby Gaga altogether is to simply turn off all your email alerts and subscriptions (go into “my account” on your member menu and de-select all your subscriptions under the “subscriptions” tab).
