how many

words, REAL words can your 16-18 month old say?

carson only says "down" "duck" "star" "mom" "dada" (for everything) "G-G" (great gramma) & other little babbles.

he is 17 months tomorrow.

dada, night-night, mama, uh-oh, and thats it. he knows so many things though and can point to them if i ask but hes just being to lazy to same them! grrr

ETA: oh! and Bob-Bob for Spongebob lmao

When Carly was 18 months, she could say the basics.
"Mommy", "Daddy", "Omi" - my mom, "Baba" - my dad, and other little words.

She's now starting to combine little sentences.

hot, cold, no, mama, dada, ryry, hey, bye, three, jump, whats that...thats all i can think of right now. he turned 18 months old 2 days ago. most of that is pretty recent stuff. he is a very quiet l,ittle guy.

Oh man Jude has to say about 45 words...

Cup, mama, cat, dog, two, baby, ut oh,hot, drive, potty, eggie, apple, please, juice, banana, ball, truck, car, boy, shirt, shoes, hat, no, yeah....... The list goes on lol He will be 17 months on the 17th.

and knows when someone is leaving and waves, but does't say bye bye

but he knows where his ears are!

yeah i was just wondering because a momma on here the other day, her boy is a month older than carson and spells his name!

Well thats extremely advanced. Dont worry so much! He will talk when hes ready. They are still so young.

yeah! colt knows hair, ears, nose, feet, belly,and butt  and he waves bye but also wont say it, and will blow kisses haha

Jude is the same. He waves bye but doesnt say it.

Jude also calls cookies "kiki"

Tigger, juice, cup, more, apple, kitty, cat, puppy,uh oh, moo, bird, duck, sunny,night night, hi, bye, all gone, baby, mommy, daddy, nom noms, dirt(our cat) Darenin(her brother names, she says it wrong) brudder, cheese, hot, on, off, Her name, out, gamma and some others, I cant think right now. lol. She is 16 months and I swear a month ago she could only say four words. It happens fast

Oh and my sons didn't start speaking until well over 2 . It all depends on the child.
