Security blanket?

The other day someone asked me if Jack has a security blanket or something that he holds dear to him, when I said no they looked shocked! Is it weird that he doesn't? He will beone in 3 1/2 weeks and likes to sleep with a little prayer bear but he isn't attatched I mean he can sleep without it just fine nothing he can't be without you know? Just wondering if your LO's have a security blanket kinda thing..

My LO is 15 months old and has no lovie or security blanket.

My 14 month old has nothing that he is super-attached too. He never even took a paci. Weaned him from the bottle just fine.... never needs a special animal, toy, or blanket.... all he needs his his Mommy  

I know lots of kids that don't, but my older son does. He has his blankie bears (small blankets with a bear head attached to it) and won't sleep without them. We bought back up ones because he can't stand to not have them. He's 2.

i would say thats a good thing. my daughter has a favorite blanket (tee-tee) and we gota take it eevvvveryyywhereee...!!!!!!!

My 10 month old has a teddy bear named ted that is her lovie. she takes it EVERYWHERE!

My 12 month old has favorites but nothing that he needs.

Colton has "nigh nigh" but if he doesnt, a really soft blanket will do for maybe one night

My LO has a blankie...she has got to have it to sleep. As soon as I put it over her, she strokes it and calms right down. I am so thankful for that thing! LOL, I even bought an extra one...that way if she gets sick and her blankie gets all germy, or it gets dirty, I can throw it in the wash and she'll still have one on hand.

My daughter has a pink blanket that she carries everywhere. And when she needs her hands, she stuffs it down the front of her shirt until she's done. =)

ok, I just don't want my little guy to have trust issues or anything strange like that for not having a "security thing" as a baby!! But he is very happy and well so I guess thats all that matters!!

Owen is 16 months and he's beenattachedto his monkey lovie blanket since he was 2 months! I was so shocked when I went to wash it after he spit up on it one day (we only had one at the time..now we have 4.. bahah!) and he SCREAMED the entire time it was in the wash.. then when it got out of the dryer I gave it back and he instantly put it up to his face.. and was totally fine! I was like WHAT THE HECK!! your 2 months old kid! LOL
