C-Sec Mommas .. Need Help Please

posted 8th Feb
I have to decide by next week whether have a c-section or not. Try and push baby out with a c-sec team on side just incase.

What are your birth and recovery stories about having a c-section. Basically Pros-Cons.

Im torn and cant make up my mind. I dont want to risk pain and distress of failing to push then need an emergency c-sec. And just scheduling a c-sec. Im terrified of major surgery which c-sec is major abdominal surgery. Scared of the recovery process. Scared of an accidental cut to baby. But also scared of distressing baby too by trying to have a natural birth. It would take days to actually explain what is going on, so please just tell me your stories of your c-sections please.

If you dont want to tell publicly Im open to PM's ... please your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had a csection with Kailee. I hated it, it was a horrible experience. My incision opened up 2weeks pp and we had to stuff it with packing gauze...I was miserable. I have done very well after all of my other surgeries, so this one kicked my ass.

I had a VBAC with McKenna and I will never have a csection again, my vaginal delivery was 100% better.

I had a vaginal birth with my son and a c-section with my daughter. I would rather have 10 natural vaginal births than a c-section. I hated it, the recovery was awful, the pain every time I coughed, laughed or sneezed was awful. I was in the hospital a lot longer and I didn't get to BF my daughter right away because I was so numb and the bitch nurse just stuck a bottle in her mouth and it took me over 3 weeks to correct her latch and I was bleeding and had blisters all over...

I never want another C-section ever.

I had two c-sections. Both were great. No complications. I was up and about within days and doing fine. My incision healed perfectly and is barely noticable. The same doctor did both my deliveries (as well as delivered me when I was a baby   ) and he said the second time he could barely tell inside that I had had a c-section before. I wish I had experienced a vaginal birth, but had excellent c-sections.

I had an emergency c-section. .It was HORRIBLE, not to scare you or anything. I had to be put to sleep
my daughter's heartbeat was only 40 beats per minute though. .I think if you try a natural birth and then end up having to do a c-section it's not as much of an "emergency" c-section. You would have your spinal already in if you get it. .

Luckily we only had to do mine for a week. It opened up about 2 cm and it was pretty deep.

I had an unplanned c-section and had no issues whatsoever. Was up and walking within 8 hours, very easy recovery-just listen to your doctors discharge orders and dont overdo it

Personally it was horrible, I was in pain the whole time it took them 40 minutes to get her out and mine was "emergency" They used forceps to hold my incision open and to get her out, they ended up cutting her back and her ear. My recovery was horrible for a long time, I pray to God that I can have VBAC because honestly it was awful. I am not trying to be dramatic or anything just truthful

Seems like there are more horror stories than good ones ...

Aww Im still torn. My mother recomends I have a c-sec and get it over with.

Im kind of leaning that way. Weighing pros and cons.

Well, when I left the hospital, the nurse took out my staples and said it should be healed closed for the most part and half of it wasn't healed at all !

My first c section was an emergency c section after I was pushing and coming off the epideral my heart rate and my sons heart rate were very low, and I hated it so much I was asleep for the emergency c section so I didnt see my baby at all for a while. When I saw him I was so doped up I dont even remember half of what happened, and with my second c section I had it planned so that I could get my tubes tied at the same time but my son had complications so I didnt get my tubes tied but, I also didnt get to see my son for about fifteen minutes or so but I will not ever have a c section again if I have a choice in it.My hubby and I do plan to try again at some point but I will wait and get my tubes tied at adifferent time to avoid having a c section I thought it would be better the second time around becasue I had a choice andI would have the spinal tap,but I just hope to never have to have aonther emergency c section again and I will never again agree to a c section birth unless it is absolutely necessary. I really want to expierence at least one of my babie births
