like they say... "the baby comes when they is ready" but if you are like me, you probably want to hit me for saying that, and I think "if they are going to take their sweet ass time about it, I will make him ready!"

I wouldn't base the membrane stripping theory on me... nothing is gonna get this baby out, other than someone pulling him out... thats what I think...

hopefully you have better luck than I did

Having my membranes "stripped" was very successful in my case!I was only 1 cm dilated @ 39 wks,3 days,so that's why my midwife did it!Anyways that was on a Monday&I went into labor 3 days later&had my son! When I got to labor&delievery,I was already 5 cm dilated! It helped a lot!

Bless your heart woman!! you have given me a small fraction of hope. I had mine done yesterday... and I have heard of a few people going into labor a few days after the membranes were stripped... I thought it was hopeless for me since I haven't gone into labor yet... but YOU, you have given me hope, that maybe it will happen in the next few days... I may be able to go a few more days before I beg my doctor to schedule an induction, before I do something crazy.

Sparkles... I started a poll in "parents with infants" about membrane stripping if you want to check it out... though so far the only 2 replies have not been good.
