Unlimited Inbox [poll]

posted 5th Feb '10
Unlimited Inbox is pretty self-explanatory as an advanced feature.

Instead of having only 50 slots for all of your incoming PMs, you'll be able to save as many or as few as you like without concern that your older PMs will be bumped/deleted as you get new PMs.

Feel free to comment, inquire, or otherwise discuss this feature as needed!

I'd like that because I forget to save PMs or details elsewhere before I lose them. Will that take up a lot of BG space to offer to everyone?

I voted embarrassingly bad only b/c I don't see the full benefit of such a feature. It's like cyber clutter...imo

I like this. It may seem weird, but after Bethany died, I was hoping I'd had some of her pms left, but they'd all been bumped.

I like this a lot. Sometimes I go back looking for a PM just to find it's gone...

what about an option/automated announcement alerting you to the imminent expiration of a PM w/ the option of saving it "permanently"? As opposed to keeping everything....

that's why not everyone will have access to it-- b/c it does take up space...

What about doing a bigger cap on it, so you can mark favorite or important PMS for keeping but have a reasonable limit still?
Some people will keep hundreds to thousands if they're allowed.

Mara-- A little off topic, but is it just me or are the polls still glitching?

if you've internet explorer, it's everyone w/ internet explorer.

we can't find the bug on this one. nick was on it for hours the other night-- about ready to pull his hair out.

Tell him not to pull his hair out. It isn't worth it.

I couldn't tell if it was the new lines the company installed (which has caused nothing but headaches today!) or something on BG's end. I wish I could blame work though.   At home I use Safari. No glitches there.

I have IE and I haven't been able to view peoples' profiles from the bottom of their posts either (where you just click on their name and it drops down); I have to click on the avi to go to the profile page. Not sure if anyone else is having that problem too, but it started at the same time as the poll thing for me. Actually I can't subscribe to a topic either; I have to actually reply and be subscribed automatically.

As for the inbox thing I think it's a great idea. And God, that is really sad about Bethany.

my solution is this: go to google, type in "download google chrome".

and get a better, faster, more secure internet browser!

LOL I had a feeling I'd get an answer like that. Actually my bet was on...safari or whatever that other one is.

As long as it doesn't cause a bandwith issue, I like the idea.
