re: To Buy, or Not to buy...that is the question.

The stroller and carseat convertible things are really nice to have, especially when baby falls asleep in it, and you can just remove the whole carseat to take them inside with you. I think we all know better than to wake up a sleeping baby!

actually.. there is a such thing as a cheap unsafe crib.. one should be sure to check all brands for recalls and defectd.. for example graco cribs and simplicity cribs (which makes graco cribs) had a recall in 9/2007 and still can not gaurantee that the problem is fixed.. storkcraft on the other hand meets and exceeds several standards and their 4-in-1s are actually cheaper than a regular standard crib.. so why not pay the money and get a 4-in-1 I did and now don't hav to worry about spending another 99$ when she'll need a toddler bed.. most specialist say to buy things that will grow with your child.. its an investment

I actually just purchased one yesterday and its so beautiful.. lol.. its the Graco Fashion COllection and its in Sienna.. Love it.. and I was sure to get the extended use one that holds up to 50lbs.. so it was well worth the money and she'll be using it for a long time to come.. another great thing is.. now my mom and all other family members only have to buy a base for their cars.. can't wait to actually put it to use besides pushing it around the house.. lol ;)

Head supports are not to be used when the baby is in full recline.. this is clearly stated in the warning instructions

Goodness... I can't believe I just read every post in here! I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Snap N Go. It is used for any baby carrier and it is a stroller frame. Super lightweight, fits MOST carseats, and perfect for quick trips. Three ladies at my church have it, and they all swear by it. It's got a huge basket and cupholders to boot! We bought our travel system at Target, on sale for $100, but the stroller will be a little bulky for me at first (esp because I will only be using it to go to church and in and out of work), so I bought the snap n go to use for the time being. As far as cribs, we bought a convertible crib at Target for $129 (!!!) and it came with a mobile, a vibration thingy, a dropdown rail, and a drawer underneath! We have a two-story house, so the baby's room will be downstairs and we are going to keep the packnplay upstairs. Plus, I was given two bassinets, so I will have one in the living room and one at work (I will be able to bring the baby with me for a while). I have a lot of the other accessories, but most of them were given to me. I am due May 29th, so I guess we'll see which ones are the most useful!

Oh definitely, but since I originally got a travel system, I will have the stroller to use anyway once he outgrows the baby carrier. I just didn't want to use the stroller unless I could put him straight in it, since it is a little bulky.
