Quoting Rnae1: The stroller and carseat convertible things are really nice to have, especially when baby falls asleep ... [snip!] ... can just remove the whole carseat to take them inside with you. I think we all know better than to wake up a sleeping baby!
Quoting Cowgirl47429: Things not to get: Carseat stroller combo ----- Use a reg stroller, they are usually lighter and easier ... [snip!] ... probably well before they are old enough to be forward facing. I am sure someone can add to this but Its a little insight.how long do babies actually use the regularcarseats because i was going to get a stroller with the matching carseat carrier thing but then i saw that you said to geta convertable one???
Quoting SuperAtHomeMama: it really depends on preferance, if you arent going to use it for all its purposes they are often a ... [snip!] ... there is no such thing as a "Cheap unsafe crib" I would perfer to save my money and spend it on a nice safe britax car seat!actually.. there is a such thing as a cheap unsafe crib.. one should be sure to check all brands for recalls and defectd.. for example graco cribs and simplicity cribs (which makes graco cribs) had a recall in 9/2007 and still can not gaurantee that the problem is fixed.. storkcraft on the other hand meets and exceeds several standards and their 4-in-1s are actually cheaper than a regular standard crib.. so why not pay the money and get a 4-in-1 I did and now don't hav to worry about spending another 99$ when she'll need a toddler bed.. most specialist say to buy things that will grow with your child.. its an investment
Quoting momma autumn.: i think the travel systems are great. i mean yea they will grow out of the carseat but it so easy to ... [snip!] ... using an unbrella stroller when he turned 2 but they are great for storage space [[diaper bag - shopping bags if at the mall]]I actually just purchased one yesterday and its so beautiful.. lol.. its the Graco Fashion COllection and its in Sienna.. Love it.. and I was sure to get the extended use one that holds up to 50lbs.. so it was well worth the money and she'll be using it for a long time to come.. another great thing is.. now my mom and all other family members only have to buy a base for their cars.. can't wait to actually put it to use besides pushing it around the house.. lol ;)
Quoting Kailyn's Mama: The head support keeps their heads from going side to side - they should be reclined which would prevent ... [snip!] ... IMO. There is another one I like that is a total body support - I am not sure who makes it, but its carried at Babies R Us.Head supports are not to be used when the baby is in full recline.. this is clearly stated in the warning instructions

thanks cowgirl ..I appreciate your input..I've been wondering about a lot of these things..like the travel systems..I almost started my own thread because I had so many questions..but now I realize that I'm not the only one!
Quoting Lia B.: Goodness... I can't believe I just read every post in here! I am surprised that no one has mentioned ... [snip!] ... other accessories, but most of them were given to me. I am due May 29th, so I guess we'll see which ones are the most useful!
Quoting inkedmama1984: but with the snap and go you gotta eventually buy another stroller for when they arent in infant carrier anymoreOh definitely, but since I originally got a travel system, I will have the stroller to use anyway once he outgrows the baby carrier. I just didn't want to use the stroller unless I could put him straight in it, since it is a little bulky.
