I think they're really convenient even if only for a short time.

I registered for the diaper champ because thats what my sister used and liked it. The only thing is... it was hard to clean! How did you clean yours?

What do you mean hard to clean? Like it was hard to get the "stuff" off of it? Or hard to get in there? I haven't actually owned a Diaper Champ, my sisters have though and I watch their kids a whole lot. That's what I registered for though!

I mean after a while it really smelled bad (on the inside), even though the diapers stayed in the bag. So my sister tried to wash it out but she said it was hard to clean all up in it. lol

man I just read the whole thread and still have not gotten my question answered!

my daughter is 8 months old right now and im 14 weeks pregnant so Leilany will be 14 months old when I have this baby and I really want to buy Leilany a new crib and buy another crib for this baby little later and I already have a bassinat, pack n play and co sleeper

im just wondering if those cribs like 1 in 3, 1 in 4, 1 in 5 where cribs can change into a bed are good investment? should I get one of those?

I have heard from many many people that those convertible cribs are a great investment. If I hadn't gotten a free crib from my brother, I would buy one myself!

if you want to use it then its a good investment. i personally didnt like the way it looked when it was a toddler bed [[it was just 3 sides and the side that went up and down was off so it looked dumb]] so we jsut bought a toddler bed for my son and he has been in it for over a year. but he chewed on the side of the crib so we couldnt use it again.

i bought a $300 3 in 1 crib with this baby and it came with a side you put on when you want to make it a toddler bed so maybe it wil look better. but we plan on putting the 2 boys together when he gets out of his crib and getting them bunk beds so this one prolly wont get used either.

but if your short on money and dont want to buy a toddler bed and you want to use it as a full size bed then ya it will be worth it!! but make sure your little one dosent chew on it!!

You may get more responses on that question in a different forum... I would try "Parents with toddlers."

Any have one, and is this neccesary ?

i got one with my shower presents, the one made by kiddopotamus(sp?)
and vinnie was snug as a bug in his carseat. i have a graco (safe seat i think) and it came with a little support, but it wasnt as secure as the one that was bought separate....buuut you can always roll up a blankie and use that instead

i didnt know babies needed head support ina stroller. Is it just to keep his head from falling forward?

The head support keeps their heads from going side to side - they should be reclined which would prevent their heads from moving forward.

I got the one boppy makes (its sold through pottery barn kids but I think you can get it other places too). It has a hole in the back where the head rests and it is supposed to prevent "flat head syndrome." We used it in the infant carseat (which we also used with the stroller/travel system). I dont know for sure if I can credit it completely - but Kailyn has a very nicely rounded head!

The ones that come with the stroller/carseat are nowheres near as nice as the ones you buy separately IMO. There is another one I like that is a total body support - I am not sure who makes it, but its carried at Babies R Us.

I was a nanny for a year for someone that had a diaper genie and it started to smell really bad. I also worked for someone that had the diaper champ it seemed a lot better. The diaper genie needs refill bags but with the diaper champ it uses regular trash bags so it saves you money.
