Hey ladies Just wondering....

When does the doctor start checking you to see if you are dialated??? Or just to see position of the baby and everything????? I go to the doctor this tuesday and im anxious to know whats going on in there! lol! I will be 31 weeks monday...Due Oct. 29th!!! Any Input would be nice...

Hey Amber,

I think most doctors are about the same, some do it sooner though...but my doctors told me they'd start checking at 36 weeks since that is also when they do the group b strept test. After 36 weeks, they told me they'd check every week at my visit. I have my 36 week checkup this wednesday so I'm excited to see what's going on and if there is any progress. You may have a few more weeks to wait, hang in there!

Hey Amber,
I was told the same 36 wks, but I'm thinking of asking if they may take a look this tues. since I've had odd sensations differant from my last two pregnancies. I'm also an medical assistant, just for generals. But if I remember right one of the reasons they usually don't check earlier is because if someone is allergic to the gloves and they don't know it it can stimulate early labor. I think thats a new thing because I do remember the Dr with my first checking me sooner. Of course that was also in CO before we went Army. I think you can request it though. Oh and we are due 4 days apart!  

Thanks ladies...Im getting so antsy! its crazy, I am freaking excited I just want her to hurry up and come...I figured they would start checking be around then but some one on here said on one of the posts that her doctor had started checking her at week 32 so I was like heck yeah that means we are getting super close...the whole 40 weeks thing doesnt really mean much to me....I was a c section baby so i wasnt early or late but my brother was early and my boyfriend was 2 months early so Im kinda worried about going into labor early! and also they have told me from like 18 or 20 weeks I dont remember but I was measuring like 2 weeks ahead...and they also said in one of my sonogram sessions that the baby was weighing like a pound over average...but it could even out later in pregnancy! but I havent had another sonogram since then...that was at 24 weeks! so im really confused and my doctor is hardly ever there when I go!

how is your pregnancies going so far?! are yall as excited as me?! Its crazy how much you can love someone or something before you even meet them! AHHH!! lol!!
