Could you get the Sunshine Radian Kids? Isn't it supposed to RF the longest? I don't think I'll have to worry about this. Connor is only 19lbs and 28ins at 14 months old.

ok thanks! the sunshine shell is only a quarter of an inch taller than the safety 1st air which i have so im not spending that much for a quarter of an inch
the weight is fine he's totally slowing down on weight gain.

It's only 1/4 an inch? I posted a thread the other day asking about the Marathon and people were saying to get the Suneshine Kids because it would last longer lol. I was like we already have a Safety 1st CA, Cosco Scenera, and now this car seat. So even if he did get too tall for it I'd put the CA back into our car. So I assumed there was a significant difference but I guess not lol.

nope not much of a difference height wise.
i read a blog forget what one now. the lady measured several different seats and did an excelent job comparing them all. i think it was the CA the marathon and the sunshine.
they are all about the same shell height! so moving up to the sunshine wont help me much at all

Ladies,

Does anyone have the new Safety 1st Air Complete (65?)

We love the seat. Wabs uses it in my car and we have the S1AOE in my mom's car. Both RF. The problem is with the air complete her straps keep getting twisted and I have to spend time to readjust them almost every time we get in the car.

Also I have a smaller car (Suzuki Forenza) and her seat won't recline to the line without taking the passenger's leg room with it. I've done a towel and repositioned. It can't go in the middle because I can't reach her to give her anything or glance back and see if she is okay. Let me know ladies

TIA

hey all,
I have a question to ask. Here in Australia the law is that you only have to rear face until 6 months of age, my car seat is only a 9 kg (about 19 lbs) maximum for rear facing yet my 9 week old is already 8 kg (17 lbs) and gaining roughly 500 grams per week.

I have looked around and there are no other car seats which rear face for a larger weight. My insurance company won't cover us if we use the seat against regulations ... I'm not sure what to do.

um ok im back to bother you guys once again!!!

so im still rfing t but he's still getting taller and is almost 40 inches in his safety 1st air.
im unsure exactyly how tall he is but the point is it's coming soon.

in the past i had asked about other seats and was told the safety 1st is taller than the myride BUT i've found this
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Graco-MyRide-65-Convertible-Car-Seat-Mavo/15579367?findingMethod=rr

it says it rf's up to 40 lbs and 50 inches which is 10 more inches than my safety 1st air.
so is this true or is this a typo on their part ????

im going to get this seat if so b/c i do not want to ff him any time soon.
he's 30 lbs only and probably 37-38 inches tall now.

the CA i have fits perfect but i could put it on the side and scoot the seat up if that means i can rf him longer.
i have tried looking online but cant find anything.

Quick question that I know I already know the answer to just wanted to make sure before I pass it on to a friend. To FF, the baby has to be 1 year old and 20 pounds in EVERY STATE, is that right? No state has an exception to the rule?

You should look up each states' specifications instead of asking us.
