I'm glad I came across this. Should I go by my daughter's actual age or gestational age? Shes 16 lbs already and will be 1 year on July 1st, but will be 9 months gestationally.

i need help. i have the safety 1st air complete and trying to put it back together
do the straps part on the back go over the bar or under the bar?
if someone could please look at theirs and let me know i cant find anything online or my manual.
i do not want to do it wrong

So I plan on ERF as long as possible, how long is that typically?
I have the graco smartseat, it just came out last month, Its AMAZING!
I love it, and I feel at ease knowing P is in it.
I wish i would have gone with a convertable car seat in treh first place!
We had a maxi cosi mico before, not that it wasnt a greta carseat, but if i was educated on baby products, i would have def. done a convertable.
P is only 9.5 months =)

Not a problem! I feel guilty for switching Cylus around at a year I was sooo uneducated. With Audrianna she is going to be rearfacing forever even if it means I have to make a car seat that holds a bigger weight lol

anyways i think today is going to be the day when we get something said to us about having T rfing still at 18 months old.
we're supposed to go fishing this weekend with the in laws yet they are going so far we cant afford to use that much gas so we told them we couldn't go.
well they said oh just put Ts car seat in dad's truck and SO could ride with the mom.
me and T with the dad.
well the fact that it's a truck doesn't bother me it is that the seat wont fit rear facing in the truck.
and they do not understand what we mean , i didn't understand why they didn't understand til i realized they dont know anyone rfing still lol.
they dont know we do it bc they never come around.
but the phone went dead and SO couldn't explain. we will call them back later and explain.
they just assumed the seat would be ff not rfing!

Good point. Otherwise if they keep asking I would just tell them its what the AAP recommends now

I was feeling guilty about spending $200 on the Britax Marathon when we already had a Cosco Scnerea but I know why I bought it!!!!
