Brain / head cyst in fetus.

This is a pic of my ultrasound from earlier today. My Dr said that the baby has a cyst. Has anyone had this and what exactly happened. I had anohter post but this is one with the ultra sound. Very worried will be 9 weeks tomorrow.

Yes, my daughter had one and it went away when she was about 27 weeks gestation...sometimes it just happens and most of the time it resolves itself

Did your ultra sound look like mine?

What kind of ultrasound machine is that? The picture doesn't look very clear. Will they be doing another? It could very easily go away and be nothing at all. They should follow up with a level II ultrasound though.

My daughter had chlorid plexus cysts on her brain, but not until 20 weeks. They went away around 30 weeks on their own.

I have not seen them on a 9 week old fetus   Im sorry. My doctor said it was a good thing they showed up late, because they would resolve ?

just a standard ultra sound. That was my very first as today was my 1st prenatal appointment. My dr will check it again when i go back in 4 weeks. I am just trying to get info on it.

They are called choroid plexus cysts and we had them show up on our ultrasound and when I had another one done it wasn't present... I wouldn't worry too much yet until you get your blood test back.

my daughters CPC was found on her brainat 20w and was gone by 28w.

OP, your baby is just starting out, i dont even know how they found a cyst so early. they should give you a 3D/4D u/s to look at it better, thats what they did to me. but i wrote this in ur other thread, there should be nothing to worry about. a good precentage of these cysts go away on their own before the baby is born. and dont try to google it, you will just scare yourself. it's a lot more normal to find these kind of things nowadays because technology is better. my bf and i went to see a genetics counselor and after going thru our family history she guarentted us everything would be fine .

dont worry yourself, you will just stress yourself out and THAT can harm your baby.
