Question About Abortions

I am having an abortion very soon. I will most likely be 9-10 weeks. I have googled this many times. And I still don't understand how the procedure goes!

What happens? They cut it out or do they "suck" it out. I have read about it both ways.
And how long do you have to stay in the hospital/clinic afterward? I know it doesn't have to be over night though.
But would you say an hour - two hours?

I am just really confused about the procedure because I have read many different versions.

It would depend on how far along you were.
Without knowing that, no one can tell you anything.

they didnt give you all of that information at your appointment?? or have you even had an appointment yet?

I had a D&E which is where they suck it out, I was in the clinic for about 2 hours afterwards because I had general anesthetic and they had to make sure all the effects had gone and I had eaten and kept it down before they could send me home.

i know the is pills you can take if it's early on. you take one then go back the next day and take the other ... and it gives you like a miscarriage type abortion .

I don't know about the other ones though, i only know about the above one because i know a girl that had it, and it was bought up on a soap opera last year.

I don't condone the what so ever by the way, but i don't know the story behind why you're having one, so i won't say anything else on the matter.

i had one before.. it was the pill though. they sat and talked with me and my SO in a private room for like an hour explaining how it works, how id feel after, the whole process. and then after all that they asked if i was still sure and had me sign a paper saying i wasnt forced or something. i dont remember too clearly it was a long time ago

But, I am having an abortion because I am pregnant for an engaged man.

Ive never had one, but the ones Ive read about on here, you go home that same day.

Depends on how far along you are, though i am suprised they are not talking to you about this prior to your appointment. GL
