SHE WON'T STOP CRYING...
posted 23rd Aug '07
She has not stopped crying since 3:00. It's now 4:30, and she will not stop! I have tried everything I know of to do. I had to just lay her down in her crib and come in here to vent. I can't stand it... I can hear her cry, and there's nothing I can do to stop it! I've tried everything! Yes... I've even tried calming down and singing to her in a soothing voice.
I feel like a horrible mother.

She did cry herself to sleep. I know I'm not a bad mom... but... I'm just so tired. I get NO help... and I'm tired. I'm going to try to sleep now...
*edit*
I spoke too soon. She's crying again.

I'm really tired too and have no help for the next 10 days. Its so hard. When my husband was here he let my son just cry himself to sleep. I felt so bad that I went upstairs and cried on our bed lol. I couldn't hear him up there. But hes fine. Your baby will be fine too.

I know... she did cry herself to sleep for a bit, but then woke back up and sounded soooo pitiful! I could'nt do it... I picked her up, swaddled her, fed her and rocked her to sleep... she slept another 3 hours... we also slept an hour or so on the couch. Ugh. Hubby's gone pretty much all day because he's training for another job. He quits his security job tonight... I'll be glad to get on a normal schedule, because she naturally falls asleep about 8-9:00... it might make it easier on us all to have a better schedule... instead of having to work around my husband's schedule... he went to work at 11:20 every night. Ugh.

My son was like that for 3 months. Hang in there... =)
Usually the only thing that would make him happy is to be held close and breastfed. Also, check out the book the Happiest Baby on the Block. The Ssshhhing really works along w/ a tight!!!! swaddle.

Yeah... that's what I did with her last night... I swaddled her really tightly (even though she was in feetie pj's) and fed her. Then I rocked her... and she calmed right down... I think she was pretty wore out, though. She only slept for 3 more hours... then she was alert and wanted to get OUT of that crib...
