eye mucus build up

so my son woke this morning with mucus dried in his eyes...
it started on his right eye the day before yesterday and now this morning we woke up and he had tons of dried green eye boogers everywhere alot more on his left side then right all of a sudden

it's not pink eye....nothing is pink there is just tons of green mucus.....if it were pink eye his right eye would be way worse by now....

what can i do ? what should i do?

besides clean it out cause it seems to come back

how old is your baby? My son would get a clogged tear duct when he was a teeny tiny.

hes 6 months...

i've never seen it this bad....


we woke up and it was caked on his eye lashes and stringy .....and blobby so gross i know.....

did you get eye drops from the doc or anything?

i had to massage his tear duct. I would wait til he went to sleep and just rub the corner of his eye

The same thing happened to my daughter the doctor told me her tear duct was closed he told me to massage the the part b/w the nose bone and the eye in a circular motion. Also i was told by my grandmother to put breast milk on it i did it for like a wk and it went away. Hope he gets better.

It sounds like a clogged tear duct. My son had it when he was born and until he was almost 2 months. Then, he got it again when he was 5 months old and it went away with some drops the pedi gave him after a weeks and never came back again. I would call the dr, i know they told me to use a warm washcloth to clear it out of his eye until he got in to see the dr.

My son had the green gunk and it was a clogged tear duct. they just gave us some eye med. not like drops it was more of a gel we just had to put it in the corners of his eyes and massage it in. then he was perfectly fine  )
