Implanon Removal

Did anybody have it and get it removed? Did you have to pay for the removal of it? My insurance ran out 6 weeks after I had my daughter. I told my OBGYN that I was scared to get it and have problems because I would not have insurance after getting it put it. I think I remember her telling me that since she put it in, I would be able to have it removed at no cost if I had problems. I tried to call today but they are closed. Anyone have an idea?

I thought it still cost because of the appointment to be seen and any equipment they use. My mirena cost to come out and it was just a string tug.

were you on medicaid? If so IDK if they cover removal. You usually have to pay for a office visit.

I had it removed. I have insurance though.

But I was told by my insurance company that if you doctor put it in, they will probably take it out for free.

That seems really logical. I hope she was just being nice and will remove it or I may end up cutting it out myself.

how bad was removal? I get mine removed thursday. I've only had it 3 months LOL.

Well that is good to know. Sure hope it works that way.

Haha I hope you can get it out for free. Non-covered doctors visits suck.

Me too, thanks. If I cannot get it done for free, I will just suffer longer. I do not even want to know how much out of pocket it would be.

I thought you loved it? Are you having problems with it? My removal was horrible.

It was a horrible experience for me. BUT it was because the anesthetic didn't work. So I felt EVERYTHING. But I've heard from another mama on here, that hers didn't hurt at all.

I am really nervous but so anxious to get this piece of smurf out of my arm.

We really don't have a true Planned Parenthood were I live. We have a clinic that is free ( I think ) but the doctor only comes once a month and they are booked up for almost a year.
