Breast Implants

I want breast implants and I wanted the cut to be around my areola instead of underneath my breast because of the scaring. My friend who has hers done said I should get cut under the breast. Input ladies? I'm getting 350cc of silicone underneath my chest muscle.

Mine are transaxillary!

I thought they could go in through the armpit?

Can they go through your armpit? Thats how I would want mine done.

I would do the armpit. Have you seen some of the pictures of the nipple ones? The scar is pretty noticeable, especially if you have pink nipples.

Go around the areola. It makes it easier to get beneath the muscle. Normally if they go under the breast they then just cut the muscle the same way- straight across. When they do around the areola they make a vertical incision in the muscle that goes along the "grain" of the muscle. The recovery is supposed to be less painful. I had the areola incision and the recovery was terrible, but my friend had the other and she was in tons of pain. I hope I explained it okay.
It is kind of confusing.

I discussed that with my surgeon and he said the scaring is very noticeable there especially if you wear something that shows your armpit. I don't know. How bad did you ladies scar there and how noticeable is it?

Mine is not bad at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just looks like a crease!

Nah, my nipples aren't pink. Neither is my areola. My areola is pretty dark, that's why I figured the scar wouldn't be too noticeable there.

My areola scar is nearly invisible. I have seen some armpit ones that are awful looking.

Saline is about $3000 and silicone is about $6000.
