Depression/ Suicidal thoughts in pregnancy

I'll probably catch alot of smurf for this, but any one else feel this way?

I would never do anything like that, but thoughts cross my mind and i feel so depressed now that I am pregnant. I was not this way before.

Is anyone else feeling like this?

I would talk to your doctor. I've heard of women feeling like this and then getting severe PPD after they have the baby.

I did when I was pregnant. I was also really really angry during the first trimester. I was the same way, I thought about it but I wouldn't of done it. I would go see a doctor or tell you OBG about it.

talk to your ob about how you are feeling. you may need a low dose antidepressant to get you through this.

All the time.

I felt so depressed and helpless through most of it, cried a lot.

I dont feel suicidal but i do get weird unwanted thoughts... its strange though i was pretty emotional and sensitive pre pregnancy, but now i hardly cry that much!??! ( well as much as i did pre pregnancy)) which is weird.. but i do get weird thoughs i cant explain it, just weird things and i get all agitated and stuff and feel like nothing is right.. I Hope All goes well try to stay posotive and tell ur doc, my doc asked me b4 and said she could send me a a counsellor if i was having thoughts of hurting myself ( but i wasnt) I think they like to keep track of that type of thing for your own safety,! Try to relax! X oX

Thanks ladies, I am glad to see I am not alone.
Usually my mom comes with me to my appointments, Im embarassed for her to know about this but I will talk to my ob

I did before I was pregnant, during, and now after.  

I always wish a plane would land on me so it's not 'my fault' and no one can call me selfish.

that was me. i was very depressed during my pregnancy.

and after the baby, i didn't leave my bedroom for 2 months. luckily, my ob prescribed prozac and it helped a ton.

  I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad you were able to get help though

I wanna hug. I have a stupid husband who doesnt have feelings for me anymore so I feel like that's a huge part of why I am feeling this way. Hug plz

husbands can be insensitive idiots sometimes. hopefully he is just having temporary anxiety over becoming a father. i hope things get better for you soon.
