Itchy scalp and red rash on back of neck

I didnt really know were to put this but anyway.

For the last 2 weeks I have had a really itchy scalp and a red rash on the back of my neck (just under my hair line on the left side)I dont know why?!, I wash my hair every 2 days (always have) but that doesnt seem to stop it.. It was worse on xmas day!!.

Has anyone ever had this and what did you do?


If its still bad im gunna try and get into see the doc on Friday.

did you change your shampoo or conditioner lately...or color your hair with a product you dont normally use?? Maybe new styling products??

There are so many things that can afflict your scalp. Do you have a history of dandruff, psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis?

it could also very well be an allergic reaction to hair dye, styling products or a shampoo or conditioner.

nope ive had this same one for the past yr.. I died by hair 2-3 months ago so I know its deff not that (would of had reaction before now)

nope not really.. Its just really strange. My SO said the rash looks like ive been bitten but I had a look and it just looks/feels like my scalp so who knows

with the weather getting colder people do get more dandruff around this time of year...id ask your doc though

I was thinking it could be the weather (its hot here), I will see if I can get in on Friday and see what he says.

It could be from the heat. A few years ago whenever it was really hot I used to get itchy bumps on my scalp and at the base of my hairline on my neck, and if I scratched them they bled. They'd always clear up in a few weeks but I never saw a doc about it, best if you do though
