re: How to tell the parents your preggo...

Well Me and my boyfriend just found out im pregnant and at the moment, Im scared shitless and dont know how im going to tell my mom. When i told my dad he kicked me out and told me not to expect him to be my babies grandpa. and as of the moment my mom Is out of town so im staying with my boyfriend and his mom and shes really excited and i didnt even say anything to her she just kinda...figured it out.

Well I have always been honest with my mom.
So I was scared of course, But I just came out and said mom, I think your going to be a grandma!

I kept it from my mom and family...I didn't tell anyone until I was almost 6 months...(trust me it was not easy) I finally sat down with my mom and told her that I had to talk to her about something and I just came out with it"Mom Im pregnant!" she was soooo pissed and she wouldnt talk to me for a few days....shes calming down now ....but shes still not really happy....my dad on the other hand is soooo excited....lol...its his first grandchild....One thing I can say is dont't wait long...I regret it and it puts way too much stress on u that u dont need it....Just get it done and over with and u will feel so much better!!~ If they arent happy about it at first...let them cool off and they WILL come back around..It takes some time.....This shouldn't be something that u stress urself out about...Pregnancy is a wonderful thing!!!!!~

That was ridiculously hard to read. If you are trying to come off as mature enough to have a child, then pretend that you know how to spell.

Well i didnt tell my mom. Just because i was too scared. But somehow she knew anyways. She just wanted me to tell her she bought me test and i put tap water on them so it would come out negative very stupid right. Anyways we were going to the clinic for an exam and she told them to give me an ultra sound. Thats how she found out when they said i was pregnant my heart dropped to mu stomach it was the worst feeling ever. But now she is very supportive and is excited this is her 1st grand child.  

Well, I'm only 16 and telling my mom was a scary thing. But I agree with the other people, telling your parents as soon as possible is very important. Because obviously they had you, so they know what to do way better then you. But as far as actually telling them, they are your parents, they will understand and they will get over it. And some might actually get a little excited. :]

lol Ok I am 17 and when the baby is born I will be 18. Well, my parents suspected we were having sex and my b/f's parents knew we were. I didn't want 2 freak out when my period was late because I was cramping a little bit and I just told myself that I wuld start soon. My boyfriend got me 2 tests and I told him they wuld be negative. We went 2 his friends house and I took the first test. It came back Yes+ then I took 3 more and then another at the health clinic so 5 total. All positive. I told his mom first...I got out the tests that I kept as proof, and said Ur gonna be a grandma. She was sympathetic and excited. Even tho my b/f just turned 19. She said she wuld help. I told my mom 2 days after, I took her up in2 my room and said to her "ok mom, don't flip out, just let me get it all out" she replied o god, just tell me. so I said I'm pregnant. She started laughing and said no ur not shut up. She thought I was joking. I started crying and shaking and threw the tests in front of her on my bed lol 3 of them at the time. She was sympatheic and somewhat excited and imediately made me and appt and prenatal vitamins. She told my dad for me and he didn't talk 2 me for about 2 weeks. Now my mom says that he has realized that I am taking this very well and acting responsible about it so he's starting 2 get somewhat excited. I thought they were gonna flip out and kick me out and try and get my b/f for statutory rape. I was 7 weeks at the time. I am now 15 weeks. It wasn't as hard as I thought and it was awkward for a little bit but now it's not as bad as I thought it was gonna turn out.

Me and my boyfriend found out i was pregnant and were absolutely lost on what to do. The original plan was for me to run away. But we both decided that would cause more problems then we were ready for. So after 2 weeks I asked my aunt (she adopted me) if my boyfriend could come over so we could talk. And him and his dad came over and we told my aunt I was prego. I was ready for her to freak out on me but she was very happy. Suprisingly everyone has been happy about it. I was expecting different considering im only 16 and I was the one everybody was counting on to go to college and do great things with my life. But so far everyone has been very accepting and encouraging.

I just had to post this because i thought it was kinda funny how i found out i was pregnant and told everybody.

Well i was 18 and had been living with my b/f for about 2 months and we had just recently moved to FL from SC and were up for the weekend and were staying at my grandma's. I had a bladder infection for a few days then (my insurance didnt work in FL) and my back was KILLING me (which i thought was from the bladder infection....which i get ALOT of) So while we were up i made a doctors appointment for the next morning. Well i tried to go to bed that night and my back was hurting so bad i started crying, So b/f makes me go to the ER. So, they ask me if there is anyway i could be pregnant and i was like "NAH" (cuz i had been with my last b/f for 4 years and never gotten pregnant....thank god!) Well after a pee-pee test they come back and were like "Ur pregnant" & i told em "Ur Shittin me" and after going through that for ten minutes the Doc was finally like "IM NOT SHITTING U" So i beleived him lol.

My b/f was asleep in the car and when i got out there i told him and he told me to "stfu" and i was like not im serious.....then we were in shock for a good minute lol.

Then i told my G-maw (raised me) and she was told me to get an abortion (yeah right) so we left right then to go back to FL. Everybody else was fairly happy though. And grandma came around a few hours later and kept calling and making sure i was okay and even help us move back up to SC were i could use my insurance and have my family around..... wow.....i wrote alot lol

Lol well I kinda knew I was pregnant because i was being very bitchie with my BF ...not only that my mother dont play no games so i was defenetly scared to tell her ..I took like 10 pregnancy test lol cuz i refuse to believe it..I dint want to tell me my mother period..but I got very sick once and she took me to the clinic and the nurse asked me when was my last period and I said " um 2months ago" and she was like Um are u sexualy active..I was like fuck!..and than the doctor told me i was pregnant but i knew this ...I wanted to tell my mom b4 the doctor did so i was crying my ass off and i told her straight up..Im pregnant she stood quiet and looked at me like she was disapointed ..but she good now ..during my pregnancy it was sooo hard cuz my boy friend made me go trou so much shit but now he happy that we havin a baby boy its a blessing ...

I was 17 when I got pregnant and I was extremely terrified to tell my parents I was pregnant. I had no idea how I was going to tell them. I figured there really isn't an easy way to tell your parents. But I knew it was going to have to come out anyways so I told them a week after I found out. I told my mom first...she was getting ready for bed and I simply told her that I'm sorry for what I'm about to tell her and right away she yelled out "you're pregnant"!! I was crying...then she told my dad and he started crying. That's when my brothers and sister came in the room and found out also. It was heartbreaking seeing my parents cry. They were disappointed at first but that eventually went away. As the months went by and my belly grew bigger they were happy and anxious to meet the little one. I gave birth to my son on November 1, 2004. I'm 21 now and trying for my second baby. I'm sure this time my parents won't take it so bad!

I'm 19.. And, I was scared to tell my mom.. Even more scared to tell my boyfriend's parents. [Being as they're catholic.] I waited until I knew for sure that I was.. And, it just so happened that we had a woman living with us that constantly thought she was pregnant, so the pregnancy test in the trash can wasn't a surprise to my mom. I had to convince my mom to kick this girl out.. And, then the next day.. I went to my mom and complained that I couldn't stop throwing up.. That I thought I had the flu. She says, "You sure you're not pregnant, go down to BirthRight just to make sure." haha. So, I did. Brought her home the results.. And, she was happy for me. Then, to tell his parents, he was trying to get me to drive with them some 150 miles to pick his sister up from college.. And, I was still having horrible morning sickness. So, when we drove by my house, I said I wanted to go home.. She says, "Why do you have the flu?" I say.. "No, I'm kinda pregnant." She was ecstatic. I was so relieved just to have everyone in the know.

My case is a bit odd. I'm 17 (18 in a few days).  My period was all kinds of weird and so finally I took a pregnancy test. When the test came back positive, I immedietly told my closest sister (19). After a lot of drama and tears shared with my sister, we agreed that I should just write my mom a note. The note was two pages long. I gave it to her and went upstairs to wait. My mom and I went to a clinic and found out I was 22 weeks pregnant. When my mom told my dad, he didn't talk to me, acknowledge me or sit in the same room as me for a week. But things are good now, it just takes time.
