re: How to tell the parents your preggo...

I told my mom the day after i found out. I wrote her a really long letter explaining that i know its going to upset her and that i know she wanted something different from me. I also left the pregnancy test out for her to look at. She picked me up from school and was pretty upset. She held my hand through everything and deciding what was the right thing to do. Telling my step dad did not go well. He said he wouldnt help me and the truth is my parents cant help me. We are pretty poor. Luckily i had a job before i got pregnant and i still do. Even though they cant be there to help me with money, they have helped in other ways. I had to get Medicare and done alot of it on my own. My mom still wants to baby me but thouse days are over i have to grow up now. I think thats the hardest part for you mom and dad. They have to let you grow up sooner then planed. 

I already now how I am going to tell my mom. I am going to be cool, write her a letter, and then get the hell away from my house for a day or two and turn off my cell. I know she is going to be very angry, so I don't want to be anywhere near her until she cools down. Oi. Wish me luck!

I had just turned 19 when I found out. Surprisingly, my mom and dad figured I was even before I though that I could possibly be pregnant. I had been telling my parents that my fiance and I were waiting until marriage, ha. I had my fiance bring home some tests after hanging out with some friends. I took it and it was faint....I had never taken a test before so I was unsure. I got my mom up there to look at it and I could tell she was disappointed...but she looked at me and was like "Sam, you are pregnant". My parents are thrilled now. They love being grandparents!

I was 17 when i found out and i already knew that i was cuz my mom always came on first and either that day or the next i came on well in the begining of Jan i did not come on so i was like well its changing cycles again- but in the back of my mind i knew i was.....so my boyfriend had already gotten me pregnacy test back in oct and i had 2 left so i went to the bathroom and waited- my mom was in her room....when i came out i went to my room where my b/f was and started crying after he comforted me we went outside and we were talking about it and how we were going to tell my mom- dad was not in my life like that so not worried about telling him..... so i told him(b/f) i was not telling my mom so he went in my house and told my mom then he came out and told me what she said then i went in the house and she really did not say anything....... she claim she was dissapointed idk but the second time i was living with (b/f) same as last one with my daughter and she was like i knew it o0o0h yea my dad did not know until i had her that i was preggo and did not see her until she was a few months

but get it over and done with no need to stress......no one can cry over spilled milk what is done is done

I am married but I didnot tell my parents I was pregnent till I was 33 weeks then 2 weeks after I gave birth hahahaha.. I didnot tell my sister and brother till I was 28 weeks ..

and I didnot tell my husband till I was 12 weeks..

I'm 17 so just that fact is scary alone. I told my mother by opening up with a joke. I know sounds lame but I was nervous. My mother was and is very supportive, the people I was most scared to tell were my boyfriends parents.I didn't even tell them, actually my mom mother has called their house to ask about my doctor appointment and that's how they found out.

Well Im 17 and im due on June 15!!! I found out i was pregnant in October as soon as my period was late and i took 2 pregnancy tests and went to a clinic to get it confirmed.....I was terrified to tell my parents cause i was only 16 at the time...I turned 17 in nov. 1 and we moved out of state on the 12th of nov. I still didnt want to tell my parents because i knew they would be dissappointed and my dad said if i ever got pregnant he would kick me out or make me get an abortion...well we moved to az from michigan and in december my boyfriend moved out here too...my parents still didnt know i was pregnant!!! I wasnt showing either....they didnt find out until jan. 7 when i almost passed out at school and my mom made me take a test....i cried alot!! but so did she then her and my dad were all ok w/ it and excited....my dad took it better then my mom!! i was shocked!! My advice to anyone is just get it over with, i waited cause i was afraid and i wish i wouldnt have! Your parents love you and will get over it...tell them at least im not dying!! worse things could happen and this is a blessing!!!

well my mom knew before i even told her and she took it really well since she already knew..lol

When i was pregnant with my daughter which is 4 now she just turned 4 may 3 08 ne way i was 14 about to turn 15 i had sex with my bf and i didn't know really about getting pregnant and how i was suppose to feel so i just act like nothing was happing i didn't have a period for 4 months i thought something was wrong i took a pregnancy test at school my best friend brought me one an i took it and it had to lines but the other one was faded so we was happy because we thought that ment neg so she called me later with some bad news of her telling me that her sister took one to make sure mine was the same and it wasn't hers didn't have a faded so i was pregnant i was so scared i didn't know wat to do nd i still didn't tell my mom right away my mom asked me if i had a period and i said no by that time i was 15 and it was dec a month after i turned 15 and i was 5 months late in my period so my mom knew something was up when everybody was asking me why my stomach was looking so round i said man cause i sit up in the house eat and lay down and i'm getting fat cause i don't workout lol and my mom brought it well the week after she told me to let her help me fix my bra and she said your boobs are getting big u need to tell me when the last time you had a period i told her i haven't had a period sense aug and she got up real fast i thought she was going too hit me so i covered my face but she just got her pocket book and told my sister to come with her and she started crying and she came back and said take this it was a pregnancy test i was tryna fake the pregnancy test by putting it the toilet after i peed but it still read postive and i had to show her and she started den i started crying den she started smoking again and she made me a doctors appointment and the health department and they said i was pregnant the doctor that had giving me a physcial before i found out i was pregnant told my mom that it sounded like i had a small mourmer in my heart so she was going to send me to a doctor in winston salem but she was like dats was it was the baby's heart beat my heart was beating for the both of us she asked me why didn't i tell anybody i said because i didn't know she said i had to know some time after i didn't have my period but she was right but my mom wanted to make sure so she made me a doctor at the womens clinic and i was laying on my bed reading a book when i felt something up from my stomach i stop reading and i saw it again i couldn't say anything and i was all big eyed and when it was time for my doctors appointment to take another pregnancy test after i took that it said i was pregnant i started crying and my mom said don't cry now its done so we go in a room to get a ultrasound nd on a screen it's a baby! i mean thighs and all i even found out what it was it was a girl den my mom started crying i just looked at the screen and when we got home we talked to my babydaddy and after that i tried to eat i started feeling all sick i was running to the bathroom but didn't make i throw up on the wall so my mom said we need the carpet cleaner and she left to go get it from my brother's apartment me and my step dad cleaned it up 20 min later my mom comes back in the house with one of my brothers he was pissed the whole famliy had to know everybody was pissed my brothers got into a fight but when she was born everyone change now she's the heart of the family now dat i'm 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant everyones ok with it at first they was like i should get an abortion and what u thinking i told them don't even think about it i'm keeping it they wasn't happy but they came around because i'm old enough to make my own decisions and now i'm almost 4 months now and i'm about to be 20 on nov 14 so it's not much they can say but i hope it's a boy lol me to my lil girl done drove me crazy the past 3 years i'm happy she starts schools next year lol.

The first time I told my parents I was pregnant they were so disappointed in my that I was crying by the end of the phone call. I then told my husband’s parents and they were so excited that I felt that I could fly, his 15 year old sister was screaming in my ear that she was going to be an aunt and couldn’t wait and it just made me so happy I cried again but not out of sadness. Sadly later that week I had to tell them that I lost the baby and again I told my parents first and my mom just said good, she was going to say more but I hung up on her and refused to answer the phone when she called back, my husband later called and yelled at her and said that if she was going to be like that then she was out of our lives. The next day my mom called me back in tears saying she was so sorry she’d said that, it was just hard because she had me at 18 and my brothers only 10 months later and had regretted it for a long time. I said it was ok but it still hurt to know that she thought it was a good thing. His parents were the opposite they were balling over the phone and nether of us could say a word we just held the ones closest to us and cried while sitting on the phone, it was a comfort knowing that they cared and were there for me. Now a few months later I learned I was pregnant, and I didn’t tell any one till after my first OB appointment when I just couldn't hold it in any more, I told my husband’s parents first this time and they reacted just as excited as last time, actually a little more so XD. I wasn’t going to tell mine for a bit longer but I started bleeding the same day I told his parents and went to the ER they saw the baby was fine and told me that I should get an Ultrasound the nextday just to be sure. I did and they told me something very surprising. I wasn't just pregnant again; I never had a miscarriage in the first place. I was so shocked I called my mom right away and told her, she was just as excited as I was   very shocking. Then I called and told my father-in-law (everyone else was at work/school) and he was so excited. We also learned that day I was having a boy and I decided on Dakota Aden as his name. I love my son and am now 25 weeks and 5 days pregnant and couldn’t be happier. I have a loving husband and a supportive family.

well my mom has no idea about the baby now. but when i was pg almost 2 years ago(lost him) i was freaked.
i seriously waited till i was 3 months. then i sat both of them down and i stood clear onn the other side of the room. and i just started crying. and i said it. my mom just started at me. and my step dad said welp another baby. my mom was dissapointed but she was suprizingly supportive. she went with me to my appointment. and stuff. and to this day she talks about my baby boy.

My mom was in oregon and I was in california with my boyfriendat the time, Before i actually knew that I was pregnant, i called and just flat out said, Mom i'm pretty sure i'm pregnant, so she told me to find out for sure, and i did and i was, She just said well your only 17 so i'm not gonna give you a big reward or anything, but congratulations hunny! i know your gonna be a wonderful mommy and take care of yourself, and quit smoking!!! easy as that, and even if your mom does completly freak don't worry she'll warm up to it ecspecially when shes holding her grandbaby in her arms. almost all my friends have babies now, so i've heard their stories.
