re: How to tell the parents your preggo...

Telling the Parents may seem like the worst thing on the planet for Teenage Parents, and It is. I never knew how traditional my dad was until I did. He says I should have know since he LOVES Regan but what does that mean to an 18yold? We kinda just sat down and told him and he was VERY Pissed! My boyfriend was lucky to make it out. Now I am 29 weeks in and he is SO Excited. Esp since it's a boy, he can't wait to buy "little Dante" a Dirt Bike, and go to little league. He's bought the baby little Harley Onsies, and I <3 New York Booties! Yeah Parents will be Pissed that we are so young but once that little one starts to grow and they see you are happy they will be too. They will not be able to look into that newborn baby's eyes and hold him tight and still be upset with you.

WELL im 16 and my bf is 18 19 next moth n were both very happy and i havent told my parent we told his mom and shes happy and idk how to tell my mom yet cuz if anyone is puerto rican here lol well you know how puerto rican moms are they start screming and go crazy on you so yea i need advice lol help!!!!! im to scared and i want my mom to know alredy

haha Im 20 and I made Brandon tell my mom and dad... lmao he called me a chicken shit but ....he hasnt seen my momma in a rage.....luckily she only said " Do WHAT? You KNOCKED UP MY KID. ... " lol she is a dork.

The way I told my parents was, I wrote a 3 page letter telling them that I was pregnant and that I understood if they wanted to disown me or w/e. I left for the weekend and hung out with my friends because I was scared... I told them when i was 3 months pregnant, My boyfriend & I told his parents first.. his parents werent mad at all like when my bf told his mom she was just kinda speechless and sat there for a minute and then was like so what ru guys gonna do... but my parents took it hard. im glad that i wrote the letter because my dad wanted me to get an abortion and he was very negative about it... up until about now, I don't live with them anymore, i live with my boyfriend now, but my parents paid for my baby shower and gave me some great gifts for my shower and said in a card that my dad gave me that he would support me. I almost cried when I read that! But I guess everything is okay now... but it kinda hurts being seperated emotionally from my parents.

i am 19 and just found out i was preganat... we told my husband parents first, with his mom we had her come to the house and had a baby boy and a boy girl outfit on the door when she walked in then we handed her the home test she was speechless for a lil wile but then she was excited she just couldend belive she was going to be a grandma be for she was 37 his father we sent a picture of the pregancy test over the internet becuse he lives out of state form us he was the same way his mom was.... now with my parents...... ? i was so nervis to tell my parents i am the baby of 9 kids my parents always talk about how they wanted me to be 21-23 befor i have a child so i was realy scared they where going to be mad at me for having one so young but i decided i was married and there is nuthing they can do but get glad in the same pants they got mad in so i decided to get a bib for my dad that said i love my grandpa and put it in a blue gift bag with baby stuffing paper and for my mom i did the same thing but with a pink bag i handed the bags to them they day befor easter with a card that siad happy easter anuther ones on the way .... my mom being the dits that she is did not understand what was going on but my dad shure did he took it better then my mom did witch was suprizing to me..... and know i think back and i wish i wouldent have gotten so scared over if they where going to be up set or not because i thank they are verry happy!my mom has told more people than i have and has alredy about me ALOT of stuff!! Thank goodness!!!!

I got pregnant with my first baby when i was 16. I was terrified of telling my mom. My aunt Reba ended up telling her and my mom was SOOO upset that i decided it would be best NOT to go home. I stayed at my aunts house for a week, then met my mom at a public place and we talked for hours about it. She has always supported me and is the "WORLDS PROUDEST MAMAW" now. When i got pregnant with my daughter at 19, she only said, "No shit?" and we are all a happy family. I lived with her until my oldest was about a year and a half and then bought my own house. My mom is my best friend!!

ME AND YOU ARE IN THE SAME EXACT BOAT... BUT A LIL DIFFERENT!! I WAS GOIN TO GET BAK ON BIRTH CONTROL... SHE TOOK MII WIEGHT AND THE REGULAR AND HERE COMES THE PREGNANCY TEST... I WAS LIK OH I KNO IM NOT PREGNANT AND THEN THE LADY SAID UH OH... I SAID UH..OH... WUT... SHE SAID YUR TEST IS POSITIVE IS SAID LETS DO IT AGAIN... SO WE DID IT AGAIN... SAME THING... I WAS IN TOTAL SHOCK I JUS LEFT!! THE EVEN HARDER PART WAS TELLIN MII MOM (WHO DIDNT TAKE IT TO GOOD..) BUT IM KINDA GLAD SHE KNOWS ... I MOVED OUT AFTER I TOLL HER... PRETTY SAD!!

THis was the hardest thing for me to do actually. I was 15 andI knew I was pregnant before I even took a test...before I was even late! (trust me sometimes you just know) SO i waited an extra week and decided to tell my boyfriend that it was time to take a test. Me and him drove to walmart and got an HPT. He dropped me off at his house and I took the test..POSITIVE!!!! So we went the weekend w/out telling our parents until we were settled with what happend. So, Sunday morning my mom asked me if I was and she assumed I was and made me take a test.(i had the answer already tho lol) but she was mad and furious at first and wanted an abortion and kept reminding me that I was 15 and pregnant. My dad wasnt that mad. He wanted me to give the baby up for adoption. About less than a month later I misscarried. But you have to tell your parents no matter what. I mean they do find out eventually..bumps are seen!

I emailed my dad and said: Congrats your going to a grandpa.

well i found out i was on pregnant on my moms birthday and i called her up on the phone im like HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM guess what your gonna be a grandma and shes like what im like im pregnant and shes like i heard you but how did this happen and im like well you see shes like i know how it happend lol but ya my mom got one hell of a birthday present lol shes soo happy like today she was packing a hospital bag for her self haha im like what are you doing shes like i dont wanna leave you at the hospital by your self im like okey lol but telling my mom was just like really funny lol

you wanna know something funny they will be mad at first but once they see your belly getting bigger and they know theres a baby in there and once they see the baby they wont be mad the funny thing is our parents messed up too and its like why cant they understand we made a mistake but a beautyfull baby came out of it soo its worth it but ya just tell them they will probly be more mad that you didnt tell them

i wish my mom took it that well....when i told her she hung up on me but a week later she got over herself and now she is buying everything for the baby...the funny thing is that she had me at the same exact age as im having this one so idk how she can be mad

yea i know its like you had me at this age why the heck are you mad but i think our parents arnt mad at the fact were pregnant i think there mad because we made the same mistakes they did and i mean i guess i can understand that but i mean its like why get mad my mom told me she got pregnant at 18 and had my oldest sister at 19 soo she goes i cant be mad at you i did the same thing but my grandma wow she was pissed lol but she got over it and bought me a baby bed and like a bunch of stuff for the baby lol

Aw thats cute! i still have to tell my uncle which im dreading so much! But when my mom finally got over it she was like well at least your still going to college and you already graduated high school so your not making the same mistakes i did and i think that helped her get over the fact that i was pregnant but shes happy now...my brothers and sisters are excitied about it and my boyfriends family is happy about it so theres only three more important people to tell but i keep putting it off cause im too chicken lol
