re: How to tell the parents your preggo...

Well the way I told my mother was through phone. I really had no choice she was living in north Carolina at the time. It was hard for me because I was terrified of what she would say. My mother an I are really close. She was all I had for a parent. She called me firs actually because I posted that I really need to talk to her but I would do it in the morning. My mother read it and guessed right away. I told her and she went outside to a cigarette. She was very shocked or should I say in awe. The only reason she was upset is because I didn't wait until she was 40. I'm only 18 years old but I am married as well. Not saying that it is excuse but it helped when I told her. The man who raised me I didn't tell him my mother did because she was the only one who could contact him. My real father isn't around so i couldn't tell him at first but later on when I was 7 months he contacted me and I was able to tell him. I just wish he could see her now.


But that is my story. Still waiting to tell my in laws.  

m 22 and i still havent told my dad and i only have between 1 and 3 weeks to go....i figured i would just pop up with a new baby and tell him then cause im way to scared to tell him (even tho this is baby #4).....i didnt tell anyone til i was almost 5 months when i started to really show....up until then i just blamed it on eating to much then going to sleep.... that didnt work for long tho.....needless to say im still trying to figure out away to break the news to him but the popping up seems to be the best atm

i was 17 when i first got preggo and i just walked into her room and i said i took two test and im pregnant and she just said ill call the doctor tomorrow. u cant really put it off u just have to say it

i took the test in the morning n i was shocked and couldnt believe that it actually said positive b/c me n my x were trying (stupid ik since i was still under 1  but i was also scared n excited scared cuz it was actually positive n excited cuz i did want a baby so then i went to school didnt tell anyone yet n i texted my mom when i got there n told her that i wanted her to get me from school when i got out n she did n i was like so how was ur day how was work did you have fun and not acting like my normal self (she knew i wanted to talk to her) and she goes to me and says u better not be pregnant and i said i was so we drove to walgreens she bought more tests n they came out positive and she took out the bottle of baileys to get drunk and then my grandma came home n i was more scared about telling her so i locked my self in the bathroom n was crying and my mom handed her the bottle telling her to sit down n drink n my grandma said u better not be telling me shes pregnant and my mom then told her to have a drink n my grandma got all pissed off and said some stupid smurf n then my mom took me to the urgi med clinic to get a blood test done to have it conform i was pregnant but telling my dad was easy cuz im not close with him so i just told him i wanted to see him and he kinda already knew that it ws what i was going to tell him cuz ig satan(my soon to be step mom i refuse to call her by her name and this is the nicest thing i can call her n i feel bad for insulting the actual satan cuz she is that bad-she told me i should give up my baby or get rid of it cuz ill have no support or anything n that i shouldnt expect my dad to be around to help me cuz hell have a newborn to-shes due 2 months before me) did the same thing to her dad told him she wanted to see him and the only reasons shed want to see him is either my dad broke up with her or she was pregnant so he was easy it was just my mom n grandma who were hard

I thought I had a stomach bug when I found out so I told my mum I was going the doctors to get it checked out, turned out I was pregnant, which was a complete surprise to me! I didn't even realise I'd missed a period ... so when mother called to see how the doctors had gone I just said 'turns out your going to be a grandma' .. Her reaction was totally different to what I thought it would be ... she screamed with EXCITEMENT!!! and then went on to tell me all the things I need to start doing and stuff like that .. She actually made me more excited about the baby.

me im 19.when i noticed i was late i thought it was nothing i just got my aprenticeship for welding and there was alot of stress .i thught thats what it was. well i gave it a few days and i live on a farm me n my dad both worked in town so after work one day i was like um well i kinda goota get a preg test im late. he is like oh. well holy crap not mad at all i thought he would kick me out lmfao. anyway got home told my mom went took the test and right away big clear 3 weeks + . well oops my carfullness wasnt carfull enuff. the thought of abortion did cross my mind i will admit. but after some thought i figured it was ment to be. i was on birth control and we always used a condom and pulled out. so how it happened not sure lol bt it was defanetly ment to be. i am now 22 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. im naming her jannavieve elizabeth. and im super exited. oh im no longer welding went on medial leave at 13 weeks i think it was lol. my perants bothe seemed alot more exited than me at first. and now kinda lol my dad is fixing my truck and building all this stuff saying my grand daughter need it to be perfact lol. and mom sews making so many blankets and stuff.unfortanetly father of my girl left me and hasnt talked to me since i was about 8-9 weeks pregnant.

I'm 17 now, I was 16 at the time.
Telling my parents was the hardest thing to do.
My mum had suspected before I even told her. I did 3 pregnancy tests all of which came back positive. I was so scared but I told my boyfriend and I knew it would be okay.
I cam home from his place and my sister said to me ''Mum thinks you're pregnant. So I'm taking you to do a pregnancy test.'' I then said ''I don't need to I have already and all 3 were positive.'' Luckily for me I worked that afternoon so I made her tell mum so she had a few hours to calm down. We cried together when she picked me up from work. I cried even more when she reminded me that I had to tell my dad :/
He was cranky and didn't speak to me for 2 days.
Well, that was back in November last year. Now I've only got 5 weeks to go and my whole family, including my boyfriends is so excited!
Believe me it'll be the hardest thing you ever have to do, but it's so amazing when they begin to give you their full support  
I couldn't be any happier.

With my first i told her i was having symptoms and she took me to the clinic, turned out i was almost 20 weeks. I hadn't even turned 21 at the time. After that everyone was easy to tell, my family accepted it, even my uncle who believes in having ids after marriage. Its like they all knew but didn't want to admit that the were going to become great uncles adn great aunts and great grandparents and regular grandparent. Telling the father was hard, he didnt want a kid, and after tellin him he sat in shock for an hour before saying get rid of it, without even knowing if it was a boy or girl. I was hurt, but he learned quickly that if he wanted it gone he was gonna have to leave me because i was keeping it. He accepted it after finding out it was a boy, because he wanted someone just like him (not recommended because i left him for cheating). After that, all his friends new and they were happy for me but worried about how he would react to the baby, he became jealous of the baby and refused to even touch him which hurt even worse than asking for abortion.
With my second however, she knew before i did and i only found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks almost 5. O_O I swear shes psychic, but everyone in the family knew with the second before i did. All i got out of my mom was and I told you so after taking 4 different home tests.
Best advice is to just get it over with because stress isnt good for a developing baby. The longer one waits the more stress it causes, Just sit them all down at once and tell them your pregnant.

after 3 years of ttc ,, and many negative pregnancy tests ,, i thought i was never going to get pregnant especially after my bf being told he could never have children but that never stopped us as many ppl go on to have children after being told they cant . Anyway now and again if i was ill or feeling a lil low my period would be late other than that it was spot on , so after missing a period and feeling really tired for about a week or two i put it down to just feeling ill but i went into work one day and a friend looked at me ( without knowing i missed a period or me saying anything ) and told me i was pregnant ,, i just laughed it off ,, everyday from then on she told me to do a test , so to shut her up i went and got one ,, i woke up the next day and went straight to the bathroom and done the test ,, it came back positive i starred at it in disbelief .

Still unconvinced i took 3 more tests which all came back possitive , from the bathroom i screamed at the top of my voice to my bf (which woke him up ) IM PREGNANT ,,
still half asleep he come running into the bathroom to see if i was ok cuz he didnt hear me say im pregnant and thought something was up , i showed him the test and his face lit up ,, a grin from ear to ear
, he was dancing about the house at 6am singing im gna be a daddy,, im gna be a daddy .
Although it was 6am i continuosly rang my mum untill approx 8 am when she finally rang back worried as hell ,, and said mum your going to be a nanny , she just burst into tears with excitement , she then told my dad whom too was very excited   later that day my mum pulled up at my work with two tiny babygros reading i love mummy and i love daddy ,, and my friend just looked at me and said ,, i told you . i think if my friend wouldnt of kept on i wouldnt of done a test and god knows how far in my pregnancy i would of gone before i knew . All my family are very happy and very excited and i havent had a single bad comment from anyone      just cant wait to meet my little one and have my own lil family xxx sorry for going on

Well , my boyfriend told my mama .
We've been together a while .
She was mad but since he had been staying with me she didn't seem to shocked.
We sat down & had a log talk about it & now she's happy .

I'm glad i have a VERY open relationship with my mom. So the day i took the test i called her about it and she took me to my first appointment and everything. i just told her that i loved her, and that im pregnant. WE seen the heartbeat today. she cried her eyes out she was so excited. Even though im 17, no matter what a moms is suppose to be there for you.

The first person I told was my step mom because I feel like I can tell her anything becauase she's not really family ya know? Anyways, I told her and asked her to tell my dad for me, well she wouldn't do it, luckily somehow my dad had already heard when I called, but it was still kinda awful....lots of tears but hes happy now kinda, he calls it his parasite grandbaby.

I was 19 when i got pregnant with my son, 20 when i found out (i concieved 10 days before my birthday so i didnt know yet) after i found out with him, i waited about 2 weeks to tell my parents. I called my mom after i worked up enough courage lol. the first thing i told her was "mom dont tell dad" and he instantly knew what i was trying to tell her.. she said she wont until it was the right time.. well about 20 minutes later i get a call back from her saying she had to tell him.. this is how that went down i guess.. i called, then my sister called to tell her, that her phone bill was just over 400 dollars and my sister also said not to tell dad. well she started by telling him "tiffany's phone bill is 400 dollars" he started to get upset then she goes "and your other daughter is pregnant". needless to say he forgot about the bill, and called me to make sure i was doing ok, and to say that it was ok he was just sad that his baby girl was growing up (i had always been a daddy's girl and really close to my dad so i felt like i had let him down because i wasnt married and had just started dating my husband). but that was that so it wasnt to horrible lol.. when i got pregnant with this one, i called him a week after i was late and had tested positive on the test and told him he was gonna be a grandpa again, and he was extremely excited and was really supportive.. i think i just overreacted on worrying how my parents were gonna react to being grandparents..lol

Im 16 years old an i was 15 when i first out i was pregnant so i was completly terrified to tell my mom.
I found out on a sunday an the first person i told was my best friend then i told my childs father
I was still scared to tell my mom but i knew i would have to do it sometime so i waited for a day when she was in a good mood so she wouldnt kill me an luckly that day was 2 days after i found out .
she told me that she kinda already had a feeling i was because i was sleeping more an eating hot popcorn ( i love it so much now)
When i told her that i was pregnant she laughed an thought i was lying , then i was like no my mom im serious an she was like how the hell do you know for sure an i told i took 2 pregnancy test so she left the house an came back with three more pregnancy tests an was like here pee on these.
so i did an when i handed them all back to her she started crying
an said im gonna be a grandmaw ... im to young to be a grandmaw ...
An now im 4 months pregnant an my mom is exicted to have a granddaughter on the way   12-26-12

I'm 19 and ill turn 20 nov. 6   I am 14 weeks 1 day hope you have a smooth pregnancy! I def suggest telling your parent asap I told my mom that very day I found out and she hugged me and is very supportive.
