In June DH and I decided it was time to try for a baby. I went on babyzone.com to see my ovulation days, and it was correct... we only tried for a week, and on 7-7-7 we found out we were pregnant. Sadly 6 days later we miscarried. I just returned to my normal AF yesterday, so we are going to try again this month.

BabyHopes18 - Yes, I am on my second round of clomid, they started me on 50mg which made me ovualate but my cycle was still really long so now I am taking 100mg. I take it days 5-9, the doctor wants to try this for 3-6months, hopefully we won't need it that long   I know what you mean by "seems like forever" No one ever expects this sort of thing to happen to them.

Melissa Schilling - I'm so sorry for your loss... I hope this is your month. YAY for 2008 babies

happygolacey - Hang in there... 6 months does seem long but I was told a healthy couple can take up to 12 months to concieve.

emilyjames7 - They will probaby take a sperm sample, some blood work and then perscribe you to clomid, I guess thats always the first thing they try. I hope everything goes well for you. I remember waiting for my first appointment it seemed so long of a wait lol

My husband and I had a miscarriage in Dec 2006, since Jan we have been TTC, but my cycles are kinda screwy and I'm not ovulating. I've only had 3 af since Jan. I have an appoint on the 21st to see if I did ovulate this month, if not Clomid, here I come!

Thats hard to say. Have you been charting your temps to prove to the doctor that you have no problems ovulating? You can check out fertilityfriend.com , thats what I use, I find it very easy to use and you can print your chart off for the doctor. My doctor seems to think ovulation kits are a waste of money and wants to see charts. I think the doctor will probably give you clomid for 3-6 months on different day frames to try to help you produce better quality eggs and then move up to something else. I can't say for sure as I am not a doctor. There is also a chance that you spouse may have some fertility problems. I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!

I am very sorry for your loss. How far along were you? I had the same problem, my cycles were sooo long and my periods were always late and sometimes none at all. I also get really bad period cramps, but my doctors tells me to see how the clomid goes before worrying about other things. The clomid seems to be working for me so hopefully it will work for you too. I had no side effects at all to the clomid but it is a little expensive. I payed $38.95 CAD for 5 pills and $69.95 for 10 pills. I hope they don't need to up my dose.
