Yes some people will have their partners rub them. It helps to release the hormones that can cause contractions, and to dilate you. It is a really good movie, you should watch it.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to get a labor rolling, really. Endorphins manage the pain and the oxytocin helps the contractions.

I imagine most women would rather have their body naturally producing oxytocin than getting hooked up to the synthetic type, pitocin.

I think a lot of people are locked into thinking orgasm = sex and so they personally feel weird about giving birth and experiencing something that to them is a sexual thing.

I see it a lot too with women who are uncomfortable with the idea that breastfeeding can be pleasurable. Since their breasts are sex objects to them, any pleasure they feel equals sexual pleasure in their head...

People seem to forget that the body is meat and is programed to respond to stimuli, whether or not the person is feeling or being sexual at the moment.
