Belly button.. just posted but google has scared me more

Okay, so I just posted this: http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about919720.htmlabout my daughter's belly button. She's 14 months old and has an irritated bellybutton. I call her bellybutton a "flattie" because it's not an outie, but not an innie either. It can pop out if I touch her in a certain way. Well, my brother, who went to school for CNA was joking with me.. but then he got serious and said well, I dont know if it can or cannot happen.
So heres what he said..
"Maybe it's irritated because you ripped it open inside" And and I've been googling and found all kinds of crazy things about bellybuttons and babies and death and sickness.. Oh my God. Someone please put my mind at ease.

My baby have a weird belly bottom.. some thing that she have and if shes 4yrs old and it doesnt go away they gonna do surgery 

Are you talking about Omphalitis? I googled that and the pics look horrid.

Yes.. =/ I mean I know Aisley is over a year and if she had that'd I'd have known a LONNNG time ago. It just got me thinking of all the possibile things that could be wrong. lol. I'm probably being silly.

Maybe call her pedi in the morning and see what they have to say. That would scare me too! Has she done anything that would have injured it?

Nothing.. just maybe me popping it in about out cause It's cute.. lol. And I do pop it out to clean it. .maybe i'm not letting it dry enough. Who knows. How do you let a belly button dry? I mean it goes inside her body. Am I supposed to like rub it dry? Ugh

Maybe not rub because it is irritated, maybe pat. And maybe stop popping it in and out and see if that helps.

Yahh I have. I just didn't think it could get infected. I mean my belly button has never been infected. Neither have any of my four siblings.. or my friends kids. Then I found out that it can. Oh lord. I hope it goes away and it's just my fault and nothing really wrong.

I hope so too. Maybe just let it be and don't do anything to it for a couple days and if it gets worse then take her in.
