Peeling Skin?

Hello ladies I have a question. My son is 10 days old today and his skin is peeling like he has bad dry skin I was wondering if this is normal? Any answers will help. Thanks ladies.

My little girl who is 11 days has the same thing. Nothing seems to help.

yep, totally normal. it's something like them shedding the protective layer of skin from being in the amniotic fluid. i did put a little tiny bit of baby lotion on Mya's face when she had it but i don't think even that is necessary

jayden is a week old and he has it on his feet and tummy ive been told to put olive oil on it by the midwife and it is working slowly but surely

Yeah... Julia did that too. I did put lotion on... just a dab...but I don't think you have to. It's normal.

The nurses at the hospital told me about that before we left the last day, but they said dont put anything on it, because it could cause problems with acne and stuff. I did put a little on him, though, because it just looked uncomfortable, and we didn'thave any problems.

It's normal. My son had the same problem until he was like 4 weeks old. I didn't do anything for it other than bathe him every 3-4 days, and put lotion on.
