re: Infant CPR

I would suggest everyone taking a course who hasn't recently. I know I haven't taken a course in years! I'm going to redo my first aid and cpr course before my baby comes!! It's always better than something on the internet (:

Thanks Jen! I think every mother should know how to do this!

I would personally suggest for all parents to take a CPR class and get certified. It takes 100$, but why shouldn't you make that fee every few years. You need to stay informed to take care of whomever is choking. Between two years, so many things changed. I took it in high school, then I took it again a year or so ago and a LOT changed. I'm sure things have changed again in this year that I haven't practiced.

How did you find in-person classes in your area? I checked the Heart Assoc. and they don't offer any in the next 3 months except the DVD.

This! My job arranged for someone from the fire department to come out & train us. It was a 6 hour class & covered first aid, cpr ( infant & adult) which included the practice duummies, & trained how to use the AED machine

I was a lifeguard for 2 years right when I turned 18 and I was CPR certified. But I just clicked on the link, and brushed up. Thanks!
