Clomid question?

Hey everyone. I'm new here. My name is Candace and my fiance and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years now. I am now on cycle day 32 ( long cycles ) and took 50mg of clomid from day 5-9. My last appointment was on the 8th. On my next cycle I will be taking 100mg of clomid day 5-9. My doctor was in a hurry and I didn't have time to ask him a couple of questions so hopefully someone on here may know the answers. I was wondering if I would be taking 1 pill a day at 100mg or if I will be taking 2 50mg pills a day? If I need to take two a day, do I take them together or at different times? I am waiting until I get my period before picking up my perscription ( Those pills are expensive ) Thanks Ladies.

I wish I knew the answer but I really don't know much about it other than it helps you ovulate. Sorry

Hey, Ive been on Clomid since October. So I can answer your question. When they up the dose you get more pills, each pill is 50 mg and you just take more pills each day. You take both pills at the same time, whenever you and your Dr decided was best for you. I hope that helps  

Thank You, that does help. Hopefully I'll get pregnant before reaching the 250mg. I don't think I can swallow 5 pills at the same time frame. lol How many do you need to take? Have you been having any luck with the clomid

When I was on it I had to take 100mg before it worked and my doctor had me take them together at the same time and it was 2 pills also. It only took two months on clomid for me to get pregnant. First month at 50mg and second at 100mg. If you have any questions I can try and answer them.

I take 3 a day... and i take them seprately... but when i took 2 i took them together

I hope I have your luck Lindsey   Did you chart your temp as well? Is it important to take you temp the same time everyday? I take my temp between 8-10 am should I be taking it at an exact time? Congradulations!!!

From what I have heard you are supposed to take your temp everyday at the same time before you even get out of bed. So put it on your nighstand or something. I never took my temps. Every month before clomid and while on it the doctor had the lab draw my blood on the 21st day of my cycle. So we knew for sure if ovulation had taken place. Then he just told me relax and baby dance every other day from day 10 to day 20 or 25. So we did. He knew from the blood tests that I was not even ovulating without the clomid. Once on that he upped it once and it worked. I wish you the best!
