implanon and antibiotics

i have been dying to go to the dentist but for medical reasons if i go need to take antibiotics for it . Im on implanon and if i get pregnant i could die so will the birth control become less if i take antibiotics

No. It won't lower the effectiveness.

If your that scared, use a condom.

Antibiotics generally make birth control ineffective. Just don't have sex while on the medication and for a few days after you stop the dosage.

EDIT: It just occurred to me that Implanon isn't a pill, is it?

I was told when on it that it didn't effect it! However, I would use a condom or not have sex while on it

It doesn't!

Antibiotics don't affect Implants (like Implanon), IUD's or Depo.

i only have to take 2 grams of amoxicillin and hour before the appointment

antibiodics dont effect the implanon, because its a different hormone to the one in the pill.

Im on implanon, an have recently been put on antibiodics so i asked all the same questions to my doctor, he said its perfectly safe.

do you literally mean if you have the implanon and get pregnant you can die from that?

yes i did i have a arotic value that is too larger and during pregnancy it gets bigger so right now i have to get surgery to fit it =/
