ChiccoŽ C4 Stroller - Extreme?

Does anyone have this stroller? I'm so confused about full sized strollers!! I decided not to buy a travel system and instead am buying a convertible car seat and a stroller separately.

For this stroller, can an infant sit/lay in the stroller without using the infant car seat attachment? Just want to double check. I'll probably be using a sling to carry the baby in most of the time, but just in case I ever need to put my newborn in the stroller I wasn't sure if you needed the car seat attachment or if you could just recline the seat and put the baby in like that.

Or should I go with this model:
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2633095&cp=2255983.2256189.2256201&pg=1&view=all&searchSort=TRUE&s=A-StorePrice-TRUS&parentPage=family

I can't quite figure out what the different is between the two though.

If you are buying just the stroller...I'd go with the Pliko P3! It looks like the one you want...only the quality is better! Much better!

I had one similar to the first one you posted - here is a link to the one I had... http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265741&cp=2255983.2256189&pg=2&cp=2255983&fbn=Brand+Name+Secondary%7CChicco&f=PAD%2FBrand+Name+Secondary%2FChicco&fbc=1&categoryId=2256189&parentPage=search

I know with that one the seat does recline back flat so you can put an infant in there. I won the stroller for free, but decided to sell it because I didnt really like it. The basket underneath is not very sturdy (its more like a vinal bag) and it is difficult to get to (there are metal bars in the way). Also, the cup holder was impossable to attach. I was also given a graco travel systemm and I like that stroller a lot better (I bought a convertable car seat too so I wont be using the carseat that came with the travel system, and I plan on using a sling for a while but the stroller may come in handy sometimes). But, the graco stroller is better for me - the basket underneath has a handle allowing it to be opened and allowing for easier access and it has the single bar with cup holders as opposed to the 2 handles (although the separate handles may be good for hooking bags onto).

Hmm, I was initially looking at a Graco travel system. But then I heard a lot of negative feedback on those. It's confusing, because there's such conflicting recs about what is good and what sucks. Guess I'll just have to try them out for myself and see.

I was initially lookin gat another Chicco, not the one you posted, I forgot the name of it, but it also had the two handles. Thta's why I switched to the cortina, I think the two handles would annoy me.

Ugh, picking out this stuff is as exhausting as buying a house or a car!

I think the 2 handles would annoy me too! I would suggest going to the store to decide on a stroller, not just deciding online. I dont know if all the Chicco's are the same, but I really just didnt like the underseat storage situation as much as Graco. My sister has a Graco travel system for her daughter and when her son was born she got a graco duo glider (or something like that). She hasnt had any problems with either.

I am hoping that I wont use the graco too much anyhow - I really want to use the sling!   Hopefully I wont get too lazy!

Picking out all the baby stuff is pretty exhausting - there is so much to consider!

I actually LOVE the 2 handles...it feels much more natural then holding a bar! Try it out for yourself before you decide against it...Plus, you can still steer one-handed!

I hate Graco and Evenflo...I fully believe that you get what you pay for! Their stuff is cheap plastic and considering how much plastic is on there you'd think it you be light wieght but it's not...Especially, the Quattro tours...they are way too bulky! Plus, I HATE having the same things everyone else has...I see a million Graco's to 1 Peg Perego...that's why I prefer Peg Perego, Britax, Maclaren etc etc. aside from the quality! And I totally love my Bugaboo!(definatly worth the money)

Don't just look at Babies R Us...try Baby Universe and Tiny Ride...they carry the higher end strollers that are much better quality!

Honestly, I would love a stroller that is different from all the others - but I cant seam to afford any of them   And if I put them on the registry I get critisized for it cause they are so pricy and I am "expecting" people to spend that money on me..   I keep looking on craigslist though for some deals. I would love a bugaboo if I could find one (I have seen the one you have and it is adorable with the roses on the cover!). But, if I dont come across a deal I can afford I have to go the cheap route for now at least.

Well, I definatly understand all of that...and craigslist is a great place to look for baby items...it's actually where I found my Bugaboo for $300...and had I not found it on CL it would have taken me a few weeks to save up the money for a store bought one!

But, my friend has the Chicco Cortina & she loves it! We walk every night & I use my Pliko or Bug & our other friend uses her BabyJogger & our friend w/the Chicco keeps up w/us just fine! Honestly, I'm alittle jealous of her stroller cause it has 2 cupholders & a place for keys...LOL Where as I had to spend $26 on 1 silly little cupholder, just so I had someplace for my water!   Also, the Cortina basket is pretty big and easy to get too! Guess they all have their pro's and con's! :win:

Also, Fisher-Price makes a stoller that looks like a Bugaboo! It's actually made by dreamer design which is a really nice jogging stroller company...and unlike the Bugaboo Frog the handles adjust which is a nice feature! And the seat reverses so baby can face you or face out! And the price tag!? $150 at Target & Walmart! Here's a pic...you should check it out!

I actually found onr of the fisher price ones on CL a couple weeks ago, but I didnt find any rave reviews on it. So I passed it up   I am going to keep my eyes on CL, and after I buy my dream diaper bag (which is $150   ) I will probably start to save for a stroller that I love. But I have the graco to fall back on if all else fails!

Ohhh...which bag are you getting!? I am SO addicted to baby stuff it's ridiculous! I have a Timi and Leslie and a Reese Li...both were $150...except I only paid $80 for my Reese Li! I love the Reese Li way more then the other...so much I think I might buy another one!

My next BIG purchase is Lauren's convertible carseat...OMG, I can't wait! Although, I already know I'm getting a Britax...that's what all my kids have had...So, that kinda takes the fun out of it! But, they've got tons of patterns to choose from!

I already have this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2486939&cp=2255976.2255980.2256158&parentPage=family it will be the "back-up" bag.

But the one I REALLY want is this one: http://www.babyuniverse.com/pro.asp?id=100300&rc=froogle100300&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=100300 They have it at a local store and I love it - I will hopefully be picking it up on Wed!   I will have to check out the Timi and Leslies and the Reese Li! I just got a convertable car seat - but its just a graco (blame my cheap family! lol). It is pretty cute though with lots of flowers.

Fluerville's are really nice bags! The one I originally wanted was the Mothership bag in Pink Ogo! *edited in*LOL...I just looked at the link and realized the one I really liked is the one you're getting...hahaha!*end of edit* It was so cute! But, then I found the Timi and Leslie and the pink in the fabric matched the Pliko perfectly! Plus, they cost the same and are very similar...

BUT, then I got the Bugaboo and decided I HAD to have new bag...one that matched of course...LOL But, it totally doesn't match...not even in the slightess and I love it anyways! I mostly love it cause the Bugaboo has NO storage and the diaper bag straps hook over the Bug handle! And it's kinda open ontop so it makes it easy to get things in and out! Plus, my hubby is an Army Officer and so was Reese Li...she was stationed here in Savannah where we are now, and couldn't find a diaper bag she liked so she said screw and atarted making her own! LOL Now, they are up noth around the DC area!

This is the Reese Li:

I LOVE the Timi and Leslie! I like the other one but I am not crazy about the color (I like pink and especially the combo of pink and green - thats what her nursery theme is).

I might have to look at the Timi and Leslie line more, but I have my heart set on the fleurville!

I have such a problem with spending and I know that I am going to go over board with all the baby stuff! But she is going to be a cute kid!

Well, I think we've officially hi-jacked the thread!

But, which ever bag you choose wether it's the fluerville or the timi & leslie...you won't be disappointed! And don't feel bad about spending the money...I mean you have to carry this thing around for the next 2-3 years...it might as well be something CUTE! LOL Plus, you don't want something cheap that's gonna fall apart...like all the Eddie Bauer & Carter's diaper bags (pieces of crap) Sure they only cost $20 but, after the zipper breaks or the velcro stich falls out...you're gonna have to buy another one anyways!
