I think doctors are pushing c-sections more because they are more convenient, more expensive, and they feel they can manage them better, thus lowering the incident of lawsuits.
Honestly, if your gut is telling you something doesn't feel right about your doctor pushing a section, you should listen to it.
In a perfect world, doctors would always have our best interests in mind and would let the labor process happen more naturally. But, the world is not perfect.
I just really hope you can avoid a c-section. Sigh.

They only say about first time moms dropping early bc many do but many don't .Like I said,my first baby I went 41 weeks and he never dropped. I went into labor and got about 5-6 centimeters before he decided to move down.I took 20 minutes to push and he was 8 lbs 10 ounces.Ok so "they" say that 2nd babies and those after don't usually drop until labor.Well My 2nd baby dropped when I was 5 months pregnant and she never moved back up.Yes they were concerned and I was put on rest.My 3rd baby dropped 3 days before labor. All of them were against the rules so to speak.Everyone is differant but you just never know with the size. My neighbor is 4'11" and 90 lbs and she delivered 6 babies vaginally .My gram was 4'10" tall and had 11 babies and some were 9-10 lbs. .so you just can't predict.Speaking of docs though,my last pregnancy I was doc shopping.I came across an ob who at my very first exam wanted me to induce .Why, because I later found out she has a super high induction rate and she got mad when I refused.Needless to say I had another Ob that I adored. Most docs are fine but you always can come across some that seem to have their own agendas and honestly yours sounds like that.(no offense to you ,it just seems that way).

oh no im not offended trust me!
i think my doc secretly wanted me to schedule my c-section b/c she doesnt want to risk having to deliver me during thanksgiving you know??
i wish doctors could just DO THEIR JOBS and really consider whats best for the patient.

it would definately make MY life easier!

on of my friends moms was told to induce on July 2 because they said she was too overdue. She kept saying that her due date had to be later, she just felt it. Well they wore her down and she induced on July 2. After her daughter was born she was wisked to NICU because she ended up being a month early! but, her doctor got to have his fourth of July! Her daughter has a serious heart conditon now that may or may not be from being a premmie. She has had her wish from the Make a Wish Foundation when she was 11. I am happy to say, though that she is still here at 23 years old, shes def. a fighter. This is just one of the reasons I think OBs need to listen to womens instincts at least a little more.

Sadly some are like that. It seems like if they felt so inconvenienced by patients they would pick another profession, you know? Bah.
I'm just really happy that you are okay with seeing that your doc may not have your best interests in mind and that you probably don't need a c-section.
The more women I read about who can hopefully avoid an unnecessary cesarean, the happier I am.

Please do not preach to me about ultrasounds. I can almost guarantee you that I had more in my one pregnancy than you had in all of yours combined.

The point was you are not her doctor, you do not examine her and you most certainly are not responsible for the safe delivery of her child. So whether or not you think it's bullshit is obsolete.

I'm telling her the same thing that everyone else is so why I'm being personally attacked is beyond me.Please feel free to take the stick out of your ass.

I wasn't preaching to YOU about the accuracy of ultrasounds,I was talking to HER.I frankly don't give a damn how many ultrasounds you've had,I wasn't talking about YOU.Myself and the other ppl advising her are just telling her to be very careful and to basically be as informed as she can be.NO ,ultrasounds are NOT accurate for weight. They are a great tool for checking development but thats it.

Now I'm just curius lol. You've had more than 24 ultrasounds??Wow that is alot.Thats how many I've had due to being diabetic, preterm labor and other issues....But wow more than 24 for 1 pregnancy.

Once again, stop telling me about ultrasounds. If you're directing it at the OP, do that. Don't quote me to talk to her. That's just stupid.

You're not being personally attacked, stop being so damn sensitive. It's funny that you say this because YOU quoted ME. I responded. Get out that works?

Two quotes? Really, was that necessary? There is an "edit post" feature for a reason.

I didn't say that I knew for a fact that I had, I said "I can almost..." I'm glad you can't read though. Ihad a very high number of ultrasounds when I was pregnant due to being extremely high risk. I have to count all of my print outs but that would be very accurate because I didn't get an image printed every time I've had one. It's somewhere around the 18 mark. And argue all you want, that's A LOT for one pregnancy, no matter how you try to slice it.

So really, this is very old now. Please just drop it. It's annoying at this point

See now the whole point of being quoted twice and not editing to add my ultrasound info was quite simple.I wanted to make it as easy as possible for you to read, sorry if I didn't have the confidance but such as things go,,Now I did read your post and I did see the fact you had written "almost" I made it a point to show your arrogance and if you can't see when someone is making fun of you, then YOU aren't paying attention..As for me being so "damn sensitive" ,why don't you stop being such a bitch.
