This is true. I wasn't a bad teenager though.. I just carried a lot of baggage. I've been undergoing reconstructive surgery (plastic surgery from a car accident.. ) and.. I've had a longggg recovery. I battled depression the whole time.

See I think I could hndle a teen maybe two at a time...We had a friend of mine live with us in highschool... SO has a pschology degree and I am shall we say "well versed" in therapy and depression. ...
I am sorry your recovery is taking so long. How long exactly?

It will be 7 years in May. I'm married and have a daughter now.. so I'm much happier now.. and my life is much much more stable. I understand a lot of things now that I didn't understand then. so its all good.

I've done a couple of public service announcements on a few radio stations.. recruiting foster parents.

Because I was in foster care..and what I did experience.. I don't know that I could handle being a foster parent.. BUT I do encourage it. I've got such a large network because of being in foster care.

I think it is so wonderful that you go ut and recruit foster parents. I really believe in public service and making those announcements has probably changed quite a few peoples lives.

I'm an only child.
Although as i was growing up i never really cared for other siblings, being naturally spoiled. But i was very lonely. I was so use to keeping myself amused and being around adults that it made my social abilities inept with ppl MY age. Still does actually.
My SO just has an older brother. There kinda close but there's 4yr difference and there lifestyle were and are completely different.
Averi i guess is going to be an only child. I want another one badly, but my SO does not at all. He always talks about "chopping his nuts off" instead.   We really cant afford it now but i hate to think that Averi would have the same problems as i did being an only child. She is social to her age now but she also loves adults. So its already beginning. Ugh! Its not only for her sake but i would love to bring another amazing person into this world. But at this point there is no convincing him and i dont know if i'll feel the same 3-4yrs from now. I can't help but feel like its now or never.
So i feel ya!

the first announcement I did.. was used for the county I live in/ and several surrounding counties. when I recorded it.. I was just asked questions and (later it was edited) but when I finished answering the questions.. the worker who went with me was crying. It was very sweet.
I didn't think it would make anyone emotional.. but it made me feel good to know that my words had an impact..

Dixon. I used to live in Downer's Grove for a while.
I'm about an hour or so southwest of the city. I88 goes right into my town haha.

It was, until a few years ago. Did you ever hear about Nick Sheley? He killed people here. Just two years ago, and this past summer we had a shooting and a woman murdered a few houses down. We're looking to move, heh.
