Thinking about trying for #2

posted 19th Nov
So Ailani is over 14 months now and me and my boyfriend have been talking about trying for another baby.

But, what I wanted to know is when do you start putting your kid into a toddler bed. I don't want two kids in a crib and I will be starting potty training at 18 months so hopefully she'd be out of diapers, at least during the day, by the time I had another baby.

I don't know, we're financially capable of having another baby.
And we both have good jobs and great family support. I have been thinking a lot about the age difference between Ailani and her future sibling. If we get pregnant now there will be a 2 year age difference at the least and I think that's perfect. I don't want ahuge age difference, like anymore than 4 years between them.

What are the age differences between your kids?

My son and my daughter will be roughly 2.5 years apart. He was in a toddler bed at 20 months and he is potty training now and he is 2 years 2 months.

I'm just doing two cribs instead of worrying about my son getting out of bed to play all night. My son will be 14 months when Haley isborn.

2 years is perfect what we aimed for. but god had other plans

johannas and lucian are 11 months apart. luke is 5 months old and johanna is 16 months old and we are trying for number three we now like the close age proximity so they will all be on the same sports teams and in age groups in church and be friends

My son was 14 months when I found out I was pregnant again. I think it's a good age gap between the two. My oldest was already potty trained when I had my LO, but I cant help with the toddler bed because we co-sleep.

Holly and our next will be 23 months apart and I love that.
Holly is 19 months, and not in a toddler bed. I really don't want to put her in one until later...She has absolutely no idea that she could even climb out of her crib, and I like it that way. I just don't want to disrupt our routine right now by switching her over. As for potty training, she'll be completetly trained (during the day, at least) by the time our next baby is here.

Any of you mommies on the younger side? I turned 21 in October.
I know age doesn't matter, and I know a ton of mommies with 2 and they're my age or younger even, just curious.

My son and daughter will be 20 months apart.. I'm keeping him in his crib as long as possible or until he starts climbing out LOL.. My daughter will sleep in the pack play by my bed.. I'm thinking 2.5 years old should be old enough for a toddler bed

Yeah Ailani hasn't even attempted climbing out yet. She just lays in there and sleeps, I agree though I wouldn't want to try too early. But I think it'd be hard with two cribs in one bedroom. I co slept with Ailani for the first 9 months though....the little baby could always sleep in a bassinet in our room too.
