Has anyone been an egg donor?

I was thinking about it, then got a BFP and obviously coulndt then... now Im thinking aobut it again. Wondering what the experience is really like.

I have no idea, I just hear that they are picky.

I thought about it too, but I just don't think I could have a child running around that I didn't know.

I was accepted before, got through the initial process, etc, but never did the treatments, etc....

if you didn't know him/her, then you wouldn't even know if there WAS one of you running around..

i wonder about that too..... and when i was pregnant, i really was like "i definitely dont want another little me running around and i dont know them", but now im back to where i was before. if i could help one of those couples out who want a child that badly, and its only my egg- another woman is carrying it, its impregnated with sperm thats not from my husband- i think i would be ok with it.

SO would donate his sperm, but we were reading online and it seems like such a huge process that he said it's not even worth the money.

A classmate of mine did it twice.

The first time was fine, but the 2nd time the egg extraction was waaaaaaaay painful. She screamed and screamed. She's not doing it again btw.

My friend did it.. She said that in the end after all the treatments and everything she had to do it wasn't really worth the money.. But she is extremly happy she did it to give somone the chance to have a child who otherwise wouldn't..

I am seriously considering it. But I havent looked that far into it yet..

lmao!!!!!! never even thought about it..... i wonder how they would ever find out? they would only know through Genetic testing, which, they would never have a reason to do....

Thats what I think about..what if my son met this girl and fell inlove with her and it turned out to be his sister..OMG NOO WAYY!!! I could never do it..But my mom is thinking about donating her un-used embyos..She had them taken out and fertalized with my step dads umm stuff lol..and frozen..but I dont think she will b/c my son is only 4 and im not done having kids,and what if he met someone and it turned out to be his aunt
