OMG

One of my best friends just had her baby boy, born at 34 weeks. He weighed 4lbs 15oz and was 18 inches. I haven't heard much else... I just hope he is healthy!!!!

I hope he is doing okay, definitely keep us updated. I know whats its like to have a preemie and its hard, just try to be there for her as much as you can, its going to hard for her, even if he is only in there a short time, its still really hard!

I know at 34 weeks, he should generally do okay. But what kind of problems do they usually face? He's probably on some form of oxygen right?
Ahhh, I wish I knew more. I'm not even sure how or why she went into labor. I just saw her a couple of days ago and she was fine. I just hope everything is okay.

Aww God bless! My son was born 5 1/2 weeks early. He was fine at birth but has some problems now. But usually at that age they can do quite well. He went home with me 5 days later. I hope hers can come home soon!

Slight breathing problems, he will just probably need some nasal prongs for oxygen, and his suck, swallow, breathe reflex won't be developed yet, one more week and it will, he will probably have to be on a feeding tube at least until then, until he can latch on for BFing or abottle.

last month m BFF had her baby at 35 weeks, and he was 5 lb 12 oz I think. he was ona breathing machine at first, but is healthy now. he is only 6 wk old, ad as already doubled his birth weight. and my hubby was also born at 34 wk, and was 5 lb. he was fine later, never had any problems. good luck to your friend and her baby!

I had my son fridday at 34 weeks and 2 days
He weighed in at 6lb 15 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. He has a feeding tube right now but is doing great and is breathing on this own. Hope your friends baby is doing well.

holy! my friend had her daughter 6 weeks early she was tiny but everything was perfectly fine! hope everything goes well for them
