Thick discharge before labor... (ew)

Over the past few days, I've been having an insane amount of discharge (TMI... I know... sorry). Today's been the worse. When I go the bathroom and wipe, the toilet paper is SOAKED with discharge. My pads are pretty "creamy" too. (TMI, again). Theres not a ton of discharge EVERY TIME that I go, but 2 or 3 times a day, it's an unheard of amount.

It's not my mucus plug, because it's actually liquidy. But it's not my water leaking because it's too thick...

I read that a lot of discharge can be a sign of your body getting ready for labor. Has anyone else experienced this late in pregnancy? And if so, howlong after it started did you startlabor? I think I still have a few more weeks in me, I'm just curious.

yep it's from the babies head pushing down on your uterus. It's normal

I know it's normal. Hehe. I was just wondering how soon after the extra discharge do most women experience labor? I never had this with my other 2... atleast not that I remember... But my 1st one I was high risk and my 2nd I was on bedrest for the final month... So this time it's like a whole new ball game

well i can't say that every pregnancy is the same but for my case i started to get really bad the last two weeks it was gross!!!

Yea - I've never been so repulsed by my own body before LOL.
2 weeks would be good, I guess.... The farther along the better. (I'm in college and taking 5 classes. Finals are Dec 7-12 and I'm due the 14th... It's definately going to be close...)

whoa hahaha im sure if you end up going into labor they can make an exception, they have to. Hopefully you make it until then though, let the bun cook!

When my water broke I thought it was just discharge cause it was thick but watery. I watched it all day & then I started coughing and had stuff come out so I said I am going in. I am glad I did because it was my water. A lot of discharge is normal towards the end. I know a few weeks before I went into labor I was soaking underwear & kept having to change.

With my first it was about two-three weeks later that I had Liddy, I kept going to the dr. because I was freaking out that I was leaking amniotic fluid or my water was breaking. I had dilated to 1 and then a couple weeks later here she came. I'm nervous this go round because within the last two days it's just been running out and I've had back pain (i'm only 30 weeks). But I would say the next couple of weeks you should have your precious little bebe!!! Good Luck Mama!
