Holding the bottle

My son is goign to be seven months old on the 21st.
He will not hold his bottle to eat...I mean, I know he could if he wanted...but he doesn't.

I have tried starting him on a sippy, but he doesnt tilt it up to get drinks...he just chews on it...

When did your LO start holding his bottle/cup?

At 6 months.. but i had to lay her down.. she started tilting it up and feeding her self at around 8 months..

My first never held her bottle, but drank from a sippy around 9 months I think.

Aubrey has been holding her bottle for about a month now. She can only do it if she is laying down, not sitting up right. I normally lay her on her boppy, then put it where she can see it then she grabs it and puts it in her mouth LOL

Lily will be 4 months tomorrow and she has been holding her bottle for 3 weeks. But my really good friend has an 8 month old boy and he refuses to hold his bottle...to each his own I guess : )
