labor story

talon vaughn schlegel was born november 15th at 4:30 am, he weighed in at 8 lbs. 4.5 oz. and was 19 inches long. i started feeling contractions about every 20 minutes or so around 10 pm on the 14th and didn't think much of it.. around midnight they got 2-3 minutes apart and really intense within seconds it seemed, we went to the ER and they admitted me, informed me i was 7 cm dilated and couldn't have any pain meds. i started pushing around 3:00 am and by 4:30 he was out! it was super quick and crazy, but i wouldn't trade it of course! :]

so far being home is pretty good, he has some mild jaundice so we've been in and out of the hospital for biliruben tests, he's been having a lot of trouble with the breast feeding, but we aren't giving up yet, it just hurts my heart that he is having such a hard time eating :[ i know some of you mommies can relate. but he is perfect and adorable and i love him to bits!

He is beautiful! Hang in there with the breastfeeding , with my first we had to stay an extra two days because she wasn't latching on. It will get easier though, so don't worry.
