Making room for the little one

So we live in a tiny apartment where I'm finally starting to feel more at home but we could REALLY stand to get rid of some unnecessary furniture taking up space in our SMALL apartment but my DH is convinced we'll fit it all and still keep crap we don't use. I'm trying to make the place look nice without overcrowding it. How can I nicely get rid of this stuff without causing a fight since he won't budge? I don't want ALL of the babies stuff crammed in HIS bedroom because we have NO room in our living room for his stuff. Plus, I'd like to make space to move the bunnies out of the living room and into our bedroom since they take up a TON of space and I don't want the baby around one of the bunnies.

So question is, how can I get rid of this stuff without upsetting him?

maybe you could sell it on craigslist to make money to pay for the baby things, dont just get rid of it. thats what i did with all the crap we had.i convinced him itll be less $ out of his pocket.

Well, that was the plan, sell it on CL and make some money to buy things we DO need for the baby but, if it's not benefiting hubby, he's like, that's MINE   I'm like, but, you don't NEED/USE it. He's a pack rat lol
