at 7 weeks, how much does your LO sleep?

posted 17th Nov
Makayla still sleeps majority of the day? I mean dont get me wrong she'll have her days where she'll only sleep for 3-4 hours during the day but most days she eats and then passes out...

How much does your LO sleep during the day?

lol, my grandmother keeps trying to tell me to keep her awake during the day so she'll sleep at night, but trying to keep her up is SO hard- she gets really grumpy so I just let her sleep- not to mention she's starting to sleep through the night, so she must really need that sleep lol

She does need the sleep. Keeping her up during the day will give you a pretty cranky, overstimulated baby who is too wired to sleep at night. At least Potato Head was. She began sleeping from 11 pm to 6 am at one month old.
(oh, and thanks!)

my husbands grandma always has messed up advice like that too. they called me at noon one day saying that she wanted to wait to call till after the baby had had a bath and was down for a nap... ok this woman and i never talk, she has NO idea what we do or what goes on at our house.... i guess back in the day thats what you did in the morning????? bath then nap??she told me i shouldn't let my son sleep after 5pm because then he wont sleep at night.   i really want to say"ok then you drive your happy ass cross county and you can keep the cranky baby up!!" its been almost 50 years since she's had a baby around. good lord. (i have a lot of built up frustration with that family... sorry! END VENT)

Lucy turned 6 weeks last Saturday and she takes little naps during the day, usually about an hour at a time unless i take her out somewhere, then the car ride knocks her out. Then she falls asleep around 8-9pm, sleeps for 6-7hrs, wakes up to eat then sleeps for another two hours, eats and then sleeps for maybe an hour and then is ready for the day.

My LO is 9 weeks and he takes a 2 maybe 3 hour nap in the day but the rest he is awake... But he sleeps almost 9 hours at night, only waking up once to eat then falls right back to sleep.
