Has any one tried P90X?

posted 17th Nov
i have seen amazing result pictures and my husband just recently got out of boot camp and he said it was used there and was amazing, one of his petty officers swears by it, so we are going to buy it and try it out. BUT im worried about the results i will have as a woman. I want to be lean and toned and not bulky. have any mommys tried it? were they happy with it? what kind of results did they get? Also i have a mommy pooch belly, and no matter how much weight i loose i cant seem to get rid of it, will this help with it? any personal result info helps!! thanks ladies

I completed all 12 weeks of the program with my husband.
We did not get ripped like the infomercial
He lost about 20 pounds and a ton of inches. He's still a little chunky monkey, but way slimmer than before.
I lost 15 pounds and mounds and mounds of extra fat. I went from a post-pregnancy size 10 back into my size 6's

I am planning on doing another 12 weeks of it maybe next year some time.

The only drawbacks in my opinion....
- it takes a TON of time, all the workouts are at least an hour plus an additional 20 minutes of the 'ab ripper' so you have to set aside that much time 6 days a week. It did take us about 15 weeks to complete the 12 week program because some days we just couldn't find the time to do it.
- the yoga in it freaking sucks big balls. Find some other yoga program you like unless you want to do 96 minutes of vinyasa's (or whatever the hell they are called lol)

Try Slim in 6 first then go to P90X.

Couldn't agree more with those drawbacks!!!!

And the way to get ripped is to stay on their diet which for anyone who liks food is IMPOSSIBLE!

The work outs are amazing! Hard, but u feel like a million bucks after. We plan on following the entire program down to the diet in January. Right now we just do some of the work outs for exercise to get our stamina back up.

Oh gawd, the food. I tried to follow the diet for the first 4 weeks. I starved and had not enough energy to even workout lol.

im a stay at home mom so i find myself having a bit of time now that she is a toddler because she is a very independent child for the most part she comes and gets me if she wants something or needs something but she is content just sitting where she can see me and playing by herself. time isnt an issue. im concerned about results because i want to modle i have lost a little more weight so im at about 135 pounds now when i was at 277 my first week PP. I want to model and i dont want my baby pooch any more haha Thank you mama, that helped me out a lot
