Why is it that as soon as things in your life start looking up, a bomb just gets dropped on you ??? Backstory: My SO went to jail about 3 years ago now for beating the shit out of a guy for calling him the n word, well he served his time and has been really good. No drugs, no getting in trouble, nothing. And his probation hearing was today and we both COMPLETLY forgot about it. Well he gets a call today saying he better bring all the money he has to his probation officer. Idk, i know this is our fault and we shouldnt have forgot but with aiden and work and the holidays and trying to save money we did and now im so scared hes going to have to go back to jail for missing his hearing, he was suppose to get off probation, thats what the hearing was for so i feel like they wouldnt do that but its not like we have some big chunk of change to fork over, like i have my own money im trying to give him and he wont take it. Its for the bills but i paid them early last month so these ones arnt due till the 5th so im good. So now hes like working 14 hour days stressing out and im really not ever going to see him. Im not looking for a pitty party and please dont critize, Im just so stressed out. I dont want him to go to jail, i dont know what i would do, i know i couldnt take care of my family without his income as well. Plus i couldnt live without him. Ah, just please keep my family in your prayers and that his probation officer is just trying to scare him and get some money out of him. Plus has anyone else gone through anything like this ?

He could have a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear...its definately not good to miss court dates.

Well he doesnt have a warrent, he would if he doesnt go in this wednesday to pay them some money, which we already arranged for him to get up there but im just so scared that they wont be happy with what we can fork out =/ I dont want to loose him for something so freaking stupid.

We dont know, His fines are like 5,000 bucks and all i know is they told him to bring money. They didnt tell him how much, which makes me think either they want it all and they know that he knows, or they just want something out of him. Ive gone with him to see his probation officer before and ive see people go in there with like 8000 dollar fines and they will just be like oh well if you give me 60 bucks today ill wipe your slate clean, well i really dont think thats going to happen, i think they are pissed. Because like i said, its something so simple, he should have been there, its his fault and he knows it, but he forgot =/ His probation officer is cool, im just hoping he realizes that my SO is doing so good. All this happedn right before he met me, he got out of jail 2 months before i met him and since then ive really been trying to keep him straight and he has been.

I know my BD had to pay off all fines/restitution before he could get off probation...I dont know if he ever got off it we havent spoken in 9 months
