Britax Advocate Car Seat

Does anyone have this car seat? It got really good ratings, but I just wanted some other momma' opinions about it, thanks!

It's a gimmick. If you really want a Britax, get a Marathon, Boulevard, or Roundabout 50.

omg weird i just started carseat shopping a little today and im torn between that one and this one: (which is a good one if you have 2 vehicles apparently)http://www.skjp.com/product/97556/185XX/_/RadianPremier%26%23174%3B

It's something Britax did to make more money. Slap air-filled things on the OUTSIDE of the carseat, and then charge a whole bunch more money for it.

IMO...I think they are all gimmicks. Why the hell would you pay 300 for a seat? I know I wouldn't when I can get a 100 dollar one w/ the same safety ratings.

It does more for people sitting next to the carseat, but only if the carseat is forward facing. It's really not worth the extra money. If you want something with air side imact pillows, check out the Safety 1st Complete Air.

oh... i cant read the reviews right now cuz my DD is climbing around but now that you've mention that stuff i want to look at my choices again. IT MUST BE PINK THOUGH LOL

I have a Britax Marathon and love it. I dont mind paying extra for something that easier to use. If it makes my life easier it has value.

There are cheaper seats than Britax, though. Like the Evenflo Triumph Advance, The First Years True Fit, and the Graco MyRide 65.

Thanks mommas, I looked at the Britax Marathon and it looked nice. I am going to Buy Buy Baby tomorrow to look at some there too. Thanks mommas for your help! My ex-DH just screamed at me for think we were going to spend that much on a car seat! LoL!

lol. you have them for a looong time. Look at the ease-of-use features. Some are easier to get the baby in an out of. some are easy to adjust and some are not easy. also, some are easy to wash. you'd be amazed at how fast they get dirty. I'm always trying to keep my LO happy with snacks while she sits back there by herself. it gets really yucky.
