My daughter was doing that. May sound bad but I bribed her with M&Ms. and now she is fully potty trained pee wise. We are still working on the poop thing but try rewarding him with his favoriate candy or healthy snack whatever he wants but he only gets it after he goes on the potty.

My 3 yo son is taking a while to get potty training down, and especially doesn't like going to the bathroom out of the house. I just found the Potty Scotty training pants. Hopefully they will help but I know when he's ready it will happen! http://www.pottyscotty.com/

My son just turned two, I think it's time to start introducing the potty! He has actually managed to go a few times. Once when I was undressing him for a bath, he started peeing, and I said "Oh! hold on, let's get on the potty!!" he stopped and when I sat him on the big toilet, he was able to continue and finish. So i think he may be ready!! I hope this is easier than my daughter. She is 4.5 and only recently stopped peeing her pants. She didn't START training until she was 3 and it was a long, hard battle.

I tried starting at 2, on and off she just wasn't ready. I honestly tried EVERYTHING!!!!! At 3 one day I woke up she had a NASTY poopie diaper and I threw my hands up and said I AM DONE! I have a baby to change I never wanted them to be lying next to eachother and I go from one kid to another. Long story short she must have finally been ready ( she was clearly not before because this worked soooooooooo well this time) BECAUSE I changed that diaper I put panties on her, she had 2 accidents and that was it...SHE WAS POTTY TRAINED!!!! i thought I was doing something wrong for a year, I tried and tried but in the end I learned that if they are not ready then THEY ARE NOT READY. It all comes back to the fact that all kids are different. They do things at their own pace when they are ready and to get discouraged ONLY BRINGS YOU DOWN. I know that part of the problem was this child did not care if she had a dirty diaper, i mean not even as a baby would she cry but as soon as you tried to change that diaper she would freak....My 10 month old is differnt so lets cross our fingers here and hope she is like her momma and potty trains before 18 months, she also has a big sister to look up to so we will see!!!

so i was thinking of trying the naked method with my son since that's when he has been able to be more aware, but today I changed him, then didn't put a new diaper on, and he wasn't having it! he kept crying and crouching down and laying down to get a diaper put on. So I guess we gotta go buy panties and try that instead.

I was SO lucky when it came to PT my 2 year old. Starting around 20 mos we put her in panties, and that was it. She was either in panties or naked. Its best to stay home if you can. ;) no pull ups, no diapers at night. Nothing. Granted, it was a lot of messes and laundry at first. But the child learns that its uncomfortable to be wet and dirty. Whereas pullups pull moisture away from child. We sat Karlee on the potty ever 30 mins to an hour and rewarded pees with 1 m&m and poop with 2. (some don't like to reward with candy, whatever you want to reward with) She was completely potty trained with little to no accidents at night within 2 weeks. SO lucky. Guarantee this one won't be that easy.

So discouraged. My 3 year old son has been peeing and pooping on the potty on a regular basis for about 3 months now with almost no accidents. This week he has gone back to having MULTIPLE accidents EVERY day.
The 4 hours I have been home tonight he has peed and pooped on the potty then soaked his pants 20 minutes later. About an hour later he peed on the potty again but 15 minutes after that he soaked his pants again, He has only had 1 cup of milk since I have been home! Last week he was going 2 to 3 hours without having to pee. SO FRUSTRATED!

Kids go through regression. It's normal. Frustrating but normal. Sorry momma just hang in there

My daughter has been seeing the potty since 1 years old but she couldn't talk but she would explain to me very well but she didn't like it so I waited for about 6 months and tried at 18 months cause she was talking but still not matching her potty words up so I let her wait but this time I didn't make her use the potty she wanted to do it her self but she wants to use the toilet instead of her potty and she turns 2 tomorrow!! She's doing a great job at talking and telling me...

I finally just got fed up enough that I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more diapers once this box was finished. And I didn't. And I think he's getting the message because we are almost potty-trained without making accidents in his pants. I'd rather wash a dirty pair of underwear or pants than deal with diapers.

My lo is almost three and is potty trained during the day for the most part but I need suggestions for how to get her potty trained at night

question... my daughter will be 2.5 in a few days and she will let us know immediately after she goes poop or even the tiniest drible of pee in her diaper. If she is naked she will tell me she wants a diaper on. She did this earlier today. When she asks for a diaper and I ask her "lets go on the potty like a big girl instead" she keeps telling me she doesn't want to go on the potty. We have tried stickers, candy etc but if I sit her on it myself she will go on the potty. Am I pushing her too much? She seems ready and has almost all the signs except getting herself to sit on the toilet. Should I hold off and let her decide when she wants to sit on it herself?

That's a physical milestone they have to reach on their own. Cutting off liquids 2hrs before bed and taking them to the potty before bed will help.
