Is coughing a sign of teething

My daughter is almost 7 months and lately she's been waking up in the middle of the night, crying, screaming bloody murder out of nowhere and just been really fussy. What I have also noticed along with her restless nights are her coughs. Is that a sign of teething?? She only does it a lot when she's sleeping and sometimes during the day. Could it be the excess saliva that she's can't keep up with or could it be something serious?? I don't think she has a cold or a fever. Her nose isn't runny or anything. How do I check for a cold?

My kids did cough while teething. With all that saliva, I'm sure they gag on it. Then, it could the beginning of a cold, ya never know.

She probably has a cold. Coughing isn't a sign of teething. A slight rise in temperature is normal, but if a baby has a fever over 101.5 then there is something else going on.

I checked her temp and it is 97.1 taken in her armpit. And she also doesn't really drool a lot, but her gums are red

I feel so bad for her coughing. I'm so afraid she might choke and have trouble breathing or something. How do you check for a cold, other than a runny nose?

Fever is a sure sign of a cold, but sometimes they don't get a fever right away, or at all. What is her cough like? Dry, wet, barky?

It almost sounds as if she's chocking on some spit. Or you know when you are eaing soup and it goes down the wrong one?

Phoebe coughs a lot because of all of the extra saliva thats around when she's teething.

pfew...I think im going to call the pedi tomorrow just to see what they say, but I am pretty positive it is due to teething. When she is sitting upright she doesn't cough, only when she is laying down and sleeping. Poor babies

Its the same for Phoebe. No real coughing when sitting up. God luck mama!
