Cocoa Butter did nothing for me. I got stretch marks everywhere and I put it on more than once a day with my first. It did smell good and rubbing my tummy felt good when I was huge. It was very relaxing.

My sister used cocoa butter and got tons of stretch marks.

I used Lubriderm with Sea Kelp and got none. I also gained 65 pounds and she gained 30.

So, IDK if that had anything to do with it. But it sure helped.

I've been using the Palmer's Cocoa Butter cause it was recommended to me by a family friend who just delivered mid October.....mostly using it just because LOL my fiance wants me too. But as my mother and I have been telling him, nothing can prevent them, they just happen.

It can help to fade stretchmarks faster.
It helps to keep your belly moisturized so it's not so dry.
I read that if you have dry skin you will get more stretchmarks then if its not dry.
But nothing can prevent stretchmarks they are more about genetics than anything.
Stretchmarks occur below the first layer of skin and lotions and oils only moisturize the top layers, that's why they don't really help to much.
But drinking lots of water can help keep you from getting them.
But no matter what you do if you are genetically prone to getting them you will most likely still get them no matter what you do.

Just to give you a heads up. Cocoa butter contains caffeine. As all of us prego ladies know too much caffeine is not a good thing. My Pregnancy buddy here was using cocoa butter for her stretch marks and it was causing her baby to have a heart murmur. Apparently the doctor told her that her son is sensitive to the caffeine and he was getting it through her skin from the cocoa butter. Since she has stopped using it the doctor says the murmur is gone.
I'm not suggesting that cocoa butter is the devil and no one should use it .... just trying to give yall a heads up.

I doubt it was the cocoa butter giving her baby a heart murmmer. I mean I guess it is possible if he is like super super sensitive to caffeine, but if thats the case then the kid is never going to be able to have a drop of caffeine.
Cocoa butter doesn't have that much caffeine and not enough that it would affect your baby. I drink coke all the time and drink coffee sometimes and my babies heart is just fine.

That's what the doc said. I drink caffeine too and my munchkin is doing fine.

Maybe the doctor was a crack head.
Idk I'm not a doctor but that just sounds absolutely ridiculous to me.
If that small amount of caffeine really did that to her baby then like I said he will never be able to have a even a drop of caffeine.
I just don't see how that little amount of caffeine could even do anything at all.
