My son was born 6 weeks early and the nicu gave him this at 2 wks to help with his reflux just becarful to watch him cause it will constipate him cause of the rice startch you might need to give him prune juice with it I would watch him and ask your Dr if it happenes

Thank you, i was so worried.. Did it help your babies reflux? That's the reason he's on this.. and yeah i was thinking about the costipation since it's so thick...

Lilly isn't a preemie, but she uses it for her reflux, it did help, I still had to hold her upright for 20 minutes after feeding, but there was less spit up throughout the day. We didn't have a constipation problem, but her poo is super thick, like pnut butter.

My daughter wasn't a preemie but she was on this and it helped tremendosly. I think if your pedi reccomended it, it should be okay.

It helped a lot he had really sever reflux and they switched his med to prevacid and just had me start to add rice cereal to his bottle to thicken it up a bit more it really does work well.

I know people have already told you this I am sure but burping is key to making them feel a lot better I use to burp my lo when he was first born up to 2 months every ounce now I can get away with every two but it does help them also to keep your lo at a 45 degree angile for at least 45 mins after eating should help as well I have a bunch of tricks I have picked up from the nicu and my childs pedi if you would ever like to know a few just pm me and I will be glad to share
