Getting Back On Metformin?

*This is going to be a post and run, I'll be back on in about an hour.

I was on Metformin for my PCOS since I was a teenager. Once I got pregnant my RE (fertility doctor) had me stop taking it. I really think it was stupid to take me off, since I've been off my sugar levels have been crazy (even with eating healthy).

Next week I have my first OB appointment, and I really want back on Metformin. How can I talk my doctor into putting me back on Metformin?

I've also read that with PCOS you can have supply problems while BFing but Metformin can help with that.

I don't know much about the med. As to the supply thing my sister had PCOS for years, fortunately it eventually resolved. Her first 2 children were conceived via IUI. She nursed them with much success and little problem with her supply. I hope the nursing works out great for you when the time comes.

That's great she had no problems! I'm really hoping I don't.

I just want my Metformin back!

Just tell the dr your concerns about Bf   I hope everything goes well.
