Can you get pregnant if u have sex 2 days after you ovulate? I have irregular periods but i did an ovulation calculater and it said if i had a 28 day cycle i wouldve ovulated on the 5th and I had sex with my BD on the 7th. My average cycle is anywhere from 28-30 days.....

u typically ovulate atleast 3days but have one day more fertile then the others... so is good possibility sex anytime during week of ovulation could cause pregnancy... depending on the both of your fertility

not true. ovulation is a one time, one moment deal.

however, your body is fertile longer than that because of how long sperm can last and how it takes them to travel to the egg. which is why if you're avoiding a pregnancy you would not want to have sex in the days preceeding ovulation. once it's been 12/24 ish hours after you've ovulated it's rare that you would become pregnant but possible. some women can release a second egg within the day or so after the first egg was released, which is how you could get pregnant after ovulation (it's also how fraternal twins occur).

since you're saying your cycles are anywhere from 28-30 days, it's even more likely that you could get pregnant from having sex 2 days after ovulation, since a 2 day longe cycle would suggest you ovulated 2 days later...meaning you actually had sex the day of ovulation.

So what if you had sex on the 15th *nutted in you* and you started your period the 16th, but ended up taking a pregnancy test & it saying -negative-, and than put in your Nuva Ring on the 25th, could I still be pregnant even though I've taken two test between the 16th and the 26th and they've came up negative?

ummm...generally speaking no. ovulation occurs on average about 14 days before your period. although it varies from woman to woma (like for instance there are always exacvtly 11 days for me between the time i ovulate and my period). even if you ovulate and then get your periopd a day later (which is almost physiolgically impossible) nothing could implant because the lining of your uterus would be shedding at that time.
so unless what you thought was your period was actually ovulatory bleeding (which few women experience, and it's generally just milk spotting, very different from your period) then no. pregnancy would be nearly impossible.

Thank goodness. Cause see last time when I found out I was pregnant my period was the 15th and stopped the 18th which was extremely unusual for me considering I usually bleed for seven nasty long days. So, when I got my period two weeks early I was happy, but I know September was kind of short so I got it two weeks early in October. So, I'm thankful that there's hardly any chance I could of gotten pregnant.

Well my period was 4 days early I bleed heavy for two days, and than barely even bleed at all after that, so I don't know whats going on. It kind of worries me because like when I had my birth control in I'd remove it to have sex because I didn't want to feel it move around. So I don't know, but my stomachs been killing me the past four/five days. And when the nurse pushed down on it last night at the E.R I wanted to cry. I went in for a ear infection (which I didn't have) and she pushed on my stomach like a dummy! Oh man it hurt.

She just wanted to know what I was there for. I go to the doctor Friday to get my liver enzymes checked. So if it doesn't stop hurting by then, than I'll have my doctor look at my stomach, but I don't know what could be causing it.
